Couldn’t go. Very disappointing score. Sounds careless and as
usual giving away far too many penalties.
Looking forward to giving them a cheer at the Lane.
I’m looking forward to next season. A lot of work needed.

Shame about the result but it probably shows where we were this
season. We had all the potential but we just lacked that extra
couple of percent to take us over the edge.
We were a relatively new team again at the start of the year
coming off of a long lay off so hopefully with good player
retention and a year of experience in this league we can attack
next season far better prepared.
Consistency is the key to gaining the promotion in this league,
Hull were by far the most consistent side in the end. Probably
followed by Sedgley Park. We were just a little bit hit and miss
at times. I'm not fully convinced that teams were specifically
singling us put to put their best performances on. I think we
just had a hand full of games where we just didn't quite turn
up. This is sport and in a season with 30 league games it really
does take a huge effort to come out on top.
The gulf between National 1 and National 2 was not nearly as
huge as I thought it would be. There are some very good sides in
this league and i'd say all teams are capable of beating each
other on any given day. Harrogate could have beaten us at their
place, it got very close at one point.
The last 3 times we have played Wharfedale away they have beaten
us, even when we were a champ side in the pre season so i'm not
too disappointed, as said in other posts they seem to have our
number up there so we are going to have to make note of that.
Onto our final home game with a fantastic South Yorkshire derby
against Sheffield Tigers. Let's go out on a high. Finish the
season with a win and build for next year. Iron out the creases
and improve in the areas we need to improve upon.

Interesting for next season. In the last few weeks we have lost
to sides that won't be expected to contest at the top next
season. I am mot sure what this means, implications for
strategy, coaching etc. It does show that unless a team is
consistently playing to potential any team can win. Margins are
tight. It will be interesting to see what happens in the build
up to next season in both player retention and recruitment us
coaching strategy. The latter needs to be sharp for this tough
league.

That's dreadful. Wishing Cookie a speedy recovery. These lads
put their body on the line for the club.
Best wishes Cookie. Star man of the team!
