We Need As Many To Help Out.
If Free To Help Please Come Down To The Club From 9am.

Does that mean that the last game on 7th May will not be going
ahead? or is it to be held elsewhere?

We can't call the game off and give away 5pts, so we must be
playing somewhere else. We won't finish Top now but we're
battling against Sedgley for the Runners-up place.
To me this is important, as we play ALL SEASON, to finish as
HIGH AS WE CAN.

It won't be us that calls it off but I think Tigers will.
Talking in the club yesterday the two cancelled games have cost
the clubŁ10,000 each when every thing is taken into account.

If a Club calls a game off and then calls off the rearranged
game, they should be made to reimburse the innocent Club for
loss of revenue.
I don't know what the RFU's ruling is on this situation, but if
there's no punishment then what's to stop any Club from calling
a game off just because they can't be bothered to play it, eg
any Club NOT involved in a Promotion or Relegation battle.
If Tigers say that they don't want to play, I'd like to think
that our Club would insist on the game being played, then see
what the RFU says.
A few of our players left a while ago, but we've struggled thro
with Nearly a Third of our remaining squad out injured. How
many of our games have we tried to postpone, NONE

For me after the away game at Sheffield I would bring the
players and supporters bus straight back to Rotherham after the
game lets have a 3rd half and a end of season party at our club
house and keep our money at Clifton Lane.

I am really disappointed that at this level clubs can just call
a game off. The loss of revenue alone is a great concern without
the disappointment of missing a game. I don't know what the best
solution is but I think it should be more than forfeited points.
Or am I just being harsh?

want advertising boards all over the pitch they share with us?

I don't see why you've made that comment, all the " Rugby Stuff
" will have been moved, apart from some advertising boards that
don't impact on the Cricket and stay up all year round. The
Cricket Section don't have a problem with that.
We are discussing whether the " Home " game against Sheffield
Tigers should be Played or Cancelled. Not necessarily at the
Lane.
If Tigers hadn't called off their original game against us at
the Lane, for a dubious reason to me, there would be No problem
now and our season would finish with Two Away Games.
IF the Tigers game is called off then our Season Ticket Holders
would have paid for Two games they haven't watched.
It's a matter of wait and see, the games NOT OFF until OUR
CLUB tells us it is.

My Wife's had a word with me regarding the last game of the
season. She says "Why are you worrying about what's going to
happen, don't try to make out that the Tigers are some sort of
Villains, it could antagonise them if they read what's put on
the Forum. Our Club won't want to lose more money from not
playing the game so I'm sure they will do whatever they can to
put the game on, and find the best option of where to play it.
Just enjoy the Away game on Saturday and don't mention the
return game. Leave it to the people who's job it is to make
these decisions, and trust them to make the right one. You've
had a really good season so don't spoil it now by making
comments you might regret later. No one on the Forum 'Knows'
whats going to happen so just sit back and wait to be told".
Trust my Wife to talk bloody sense, but I now agree with her,
so I'll say nothing else regarding the will it or won't it be
played, I'll just wait to see the outcome of any dialogue that
may be taking place.
