It doesn't seem fair that a club can just cancel a match costing
their opponents much needed match day income without any chance
of compensation to cover that day's losses .

Sorry to join in your thread, but you’re right it’s shocking
that a game can be called off at short notice at the pivotal end
       of a season.
OK Hull have won the league, congratulations to them, however it
is wrong to think with no relegation that clubs can just decide
to cancel games as they could believe it has no importance to
       them.
We are supposedly a national league.
A selfish thought is, we have Harrogate as our last game of the
season at Park Lane and we have over 320 people sitting down for
the pre-match meal mainly to congratulate a great effort from
       our boys.
It would be a crying shame if it happens to us too.
On the flip side I hope nothing serious has happened to
Harrogate resulting in cancelling your game tomorrow.
Good luck to the mighty Roth, see you all next season.
       All the best
       ST

The Clubhouse is definitely open with lots of food and beer to
sell due to the cancellation of the game. European rugby on the
tv and the staff hope to see lots of people there.

It’s making a mockery out of the game ! there needs to be more
severe penalties dished out ? This is the second home game that
the club has had called off by clubs that don’t really fancy it
       ?
Sheffield Tigers pulled out of the big Boxing Day match under
very dubious circumstances ! resulting in severe income losses
to the home clubs, not least a massive loss of entertainment to
the game on a wonderful Saturday with lovely weather.
Same happened to Hull, note they don’t pull out of their own
home games ! always away ?

Looking at our injury list I wouldn’t be surprised if a few
other squad players we have got injured we would be in the same
       situation
