       Next season

I was intrigued to hear the Chester president mention during the
third half that next season we wouldn’t play them because of the
introduction of The Midlands and south division. If we don’t get
promoted, which I now think is highly likely, because our large
injury list, does anyone know what the composition of our league
       next season.

The RFU Council has agreed changes for a New Competition
Structure, which will come into effect from the 2022 / 23
season. National One will remain as One League and National Two
will consist of Three Leagues. Each of these Leagues will
consist of 14 Clubs, instead of the current 16. All Clubs will
be grouped together Geographically to reduce Distance and
       Travelling Time.
There will be a Protected Two-Week break over the Christmas
period and Protected Weekend Breaks at points to be determined
       through the season.
A review of Competition Structures will take place every Three
       Years.
I have not seen yet which Clubs will be in which League, North,
Midlands or South, but the RFU have stated that the Fixtures
       will be released W/C 15 / 16 June.
Knowing the RFU they'll probably inform the Clubs of which
League they are in on June 14, or just as likely Scrap the
       Whole thing.

Copied from a discussion on the Rolling Maul site:
Based on this, the North might start above Sheffield! This isn’t
the official decision, just someone, not me, trying to make
       sense of this mess.
From Nat 2 North 11 teams
       Sedgley Park
       Fylde
       Rotherham
       Hull Ionians
       Tynedale
       Sheffield Tigers
       Wharfedale
       Huddersfield
       Blaydon
       Harrogate
       Chester
       plus currently:
       Sheffield 2nd in Midland Premier
       Otley 1st in North Premier
Preston G 2nd in North Premier
Blackburn 2nd best 3rd pace team
That assumes Hull are promoted, and no Northern side is
       relegated from level 3.
There are only six teams from the Midlands division,
       Luctonians ->  SW
       Stourbridge -> SW
       Bournville -> SW
       Loughborough Students -> L&SE
Leicester Lions (level transferred to Nat 2 S) -> L&SE
Newport (Salop) currently top of Midlands premier. ->SW
       South West - eight teams
       Redruth
       Henley
       Clifton
       Dings
       Barnstaple
Exeter University 1st in SW rem
       Hornets 2nd in SW rem
Old Redcliffians 3rd in SW Prem and best place 3rd place team
       London 12 teams
Tonbridge Juddians - relegation from Nat 1
       Worthing
       Bury St Edmunds
       Guernsey
       Old Albanian
       Barnes
       Canterbury
       Hinckley
       Rochford Hundred
       Westcliff
       Dorking 1st in London prem
       Sevenoaks 2nd in London prem
There is one more side to be relegated.
I suspect Worthing or Guernsey will need to go West.
I am not sure who goes West if Worthing get promoted instead of
       Esher.
This just emphasizes how strong the Northern Division is, with
over a third of the sides.

       Lindsey
It also says on that same discussion that Chester will be
placed in South West although I'm puzzled how any one could say
that Chester is in the South West also so it looks like
Loughborough would stay in our league

       Thanks for that Lindsay.
To make up the new Structure for Division Two next season they
will need 42 Clubs split into Three 14 Club Leagues. Which ever
way you look at it some Clubs will have to be in a League not
       Geographically in their area.
The RFU will make a decision, some of us will agree with it and
some will not. The only thing we need to know is that the
Titans will be playing Rugby next season.

I don’t know about anyone else but I’m fed up with changes every
season. Who’s going to invest in a club and staff when the rules
       change during the season.
