Thanks for that Lindsay,
Nought out of Ten for observation for me, I never noticed the
Clock stopping. I estimated about 4mins of stoppage time in
the second-half, so was surprised when the Ref blew his Whistle.

5 points is all we can ask. Glad the pack got through the game
without any injuries. Next week we have our game in hand so we
will have a better idea of how things are shaping up.
26th of March Hull face Sedgley at home and a few weeks later
they have Fylde away these games will be the deciders. We can
only hope Sedge and Fylde do us a favour but it looks unlikely
now with Hull firing on all cylinders.
Unless there is a play off for a second team to be promoted then
I'd say we will be here again next season. Our draw with
Bournville might just have cost us really. Whatever will be will
be and I have enjoyed this season greatly so it wont be the end
of the world.
Can we hold onto our team without promotion? I hope we can re
sign the vast majority if not all of our squad with an addition
of maybe new younger second row and prop to learn from Chall and
Quigs who wont be able to play forever (or will they?)

Very good first half performance. We definitely capitalised on
their yellow from the penalty try. Took our foot off the gas a
bit second half, but with the number of injuries, perhaps
managing that situation was important. I hope Alistair Donkor's
withdrawal at half time was squad rotation rather than serious
injury. He will be vital for the rest of the season. It got a
bit tense at the end. Again, we seem to be getting on the wrong
end of these 50 - 22s. But saw it out for the 5 points, so well
done all.
On the clock, I noticed it happen at the last home match. The
ref actually blew on 39 something. I like the attempt to give us
an idea of how long is really left, even if it can't be exactly
accurate.

I can't understand why we now have the 50 / 22 Rule. I'm sure
the Rugby League have a 20 / 20 Rule, we should have gone for
that, ( 22 / 22 )as there must be more skill in that kick. I've
got 4 young Rugby playing Grandsons who could probably make the
50/20 kick at the Lane.

The 50 22 rule and the new 5m scrum rule have certainly mad a
big impact on results. Whether its for the good of the game or
not I cant quite work out yet.
