I think you are probably right, Whiterhino, but I can remember a
game where the result was overturned in the light of subsequent
evidence.
It was Coventry v Roth at Butts Park. A Cov front row was down
and was told to stay down so they could go to uncontested scrums
as we were all over them at the set piece. Cov hung on for the
win but the points were reversed later when it came to light, I
believe.
So it can happen, but is unlikely to in this case.

I suppose it is what it is. If there is a chance that we get the
extra 2 then that would be welcomed but looking unlikely. Just
to clarify I meant no disrespect to Luctonians in my previous
posts, you would expect a team to argue their point if they
think the ball went under the posts. We would do the same. I
suppose it comes down to the unusual officiating, chaning their
minds etc.
Strange one, can't see anything changing but hey ho, you never
know!
Best of luck to Lucs for the rest of the season. Game on now,
very tricky position we are in, I have seen that maybe only 1
team will get promoted from nat 2 north and 1 from nat 2 south,
if this is the case then we will of had another decision go
against us. Out of our power now. In the end we have just not
been quite clinical enough which has let Hull just pull away at
the top.
If we win our next 2 then we still have a chance. We would then
need to win every game with 5 points to give us the best
possible chance of promotion. Hopefully there is a play off with
both 2nd placed teams. If not then I look forward to next year
with plenty of good local derbies and a good balanced level of
rugby. I won't get my promotion hopes up again....

Hull, Sedgley Park and Stourbridge have all picked up 17 bonus
pts, we have got 13. That could be the deciding factor at the
end of the season.

That's how the game finished
All 3 Coventry Front Row Players went off injured, they had no
FRF's replacements on the Bench so all Scrums became
uncontested.
I can't remember if we complained about this, or the Ref
mentioned something in his report, but at a later date the RFU
awarded us the Game and Points

Can 100% confirm Eagle's take from behind the posts as I was
stood with him. I was certain it went under the bar until I saw
the video as well after the match. Very strange but my take is
honours even on the balance of play and we move on. Terrific
second half from Rotherham after not using the conditions in the
first. Zak was terrific in the second half and led the
fightback.
By the bye Luctonians last home game against Huddersfield did
indeed have the result overturned I believe despite the final
whistle having been blown. Huddersfield won on the day but had
to play part of the game with uncontested scrums as a prop was
injured in the warm up and they did not have the sufficient
numbers required for the match. I understand the ref allowed it
but Luctonoians appealed and the result was over-turned.
Its a funny old game!

That's the one Winger. but not all 3 were injured - one was ok
to carry on but was told to stay down by his captain. I am
pretty sure we complained, especially as Cov had complained
about us a season or two earlier, saying we had walkie-talkies
under our scrum caps! Hence the reversed decision.

post. Came across the Programme for the Coventry away game of
23rd October 2004!

Just read the match report on Luctonians Club Site. It started
off ---- Was it a case of was we robbed. Worth reading and
watching Lucs first Try.

I think they thought they were robbed.
I hope this conversion is shown tomorrow at the review.
I am having difficulty in understanding how someone (I think it
was Eagle) can say the ball went under the bar, yet also imply
the video shows it going over?
A picture paints a thousand words as they say.

Another angle. Maybe the ref thought it went under? Video
evidence is irrefutable.

The video needs to be published but I suspect only for
edification. I can’t remember any match score being changed
after the final whistle
