Having been at the match we got off to the worst possible start.
We kicked off to hem and they broke out immediately and went
over to score, 7 - 0 down from the start. We had a number of
opportunities to get back into it but on numerous occasions the
final pass didn’t go to hand. In the second half our forward
drive came into play and we got to 17 - 10 ahead. We looked
certain to score when we were 5 meters from heir line but a
wayward pass which was intercepted be their fastest play and he
sprinted the length of the field to score which levelled the
score.

Thanks for that Rucko. I agree we need to tighten the errors to
close out wins without creating such pressures. There is a clear
5 now and that is where we need wins over the next few weeks. If
we do we pote tially have an easier run in. However tight
margins.

I don't know what other folk think but the way I saw it
Bournville had 2 clear chances and scored both times we had a
lot of chances and only scored 2tries.
We seem to spend a lot of time near the opposition line and come
away with nothing due to bad decisions giving away penalties and
mishandling the ball.

Agreed,
We seem to be lacking that clinical edge and as Rucko and others
have confirmed we made poor decisions and fatal mistakes in
crucial areas. We look like scoring a lot but we arent
converting it into actual points and as a result we have left
points out on the field. Im sure the accuracy and clinical
decision making will come but we can't afford to leave to many
points out there or we may not get the promotion. This is a
tight league at the top and i'd say the top 5 all have the
capability of beating each other. Great that we are still
undefeated however we need to starting being a bit more
convincing and collecting bonus points.
Hull away will be tough, they have gone from strength to
strength since we beat them. They will be well up for the game
so we need to iron out the creases asap. Stourbridge and Fylde
could be very tough too.
A few interesting results for Bournville against the top 5
earlier in the season
Sedge 20 - Bourn - 6
Fylde 73 - Borun - 7
Bourn 22 - Stour - 52
Rugby math doesnt work but it does put our results against them
into a bit of perspective. (They could just be a bogey team for
us mind)

Interesting to read Chris. The other top teams seem to have had
little trouble with Bourneville
