We SHOULD have WON that game. When you consider the size /
weight of the Bedford forwards and the skill of their backs,
we did exceptionally well to go in at half-time only 15 pts
down. This was down to some excellent tackling / defence.
For us, the first half was mainly a training session in
defending, with an occasional foray into Bedfords 22.
I don't know what was said in the changing room, but a different
team came out for the second half. Our Forwards got on the
front foot and started to make headway through the Bedford
defence. This provided our backs with some good ball to work
with, which resulted in our scoring two very good tries. We
still had some defending to do, but we stood tall in the
challenge and has the game progressed I was convinced that we
would win the game. We created more chances, but sadly it was
not to be. If we had lost to a well worked try, it would have
been bad enough, but to lose to a penalty goal in the 4th minute
of added on time, was heart breaking.
Overall this was a very good effort from our lads, with some
good individual performances, but I would give my vote to Jamie
Cooke.
He is a good centre who invariably breaks through the first
tackle and quite often the second.
I don't know how many of our lads have had offers from other
clubs for next season, its not easy to impress in a team that's
constantly losing. As others have said, I would love to see
the majority of our current squad retained for next season. The
Club needs to sell to the Lads that it will be an 100 % effort
to gain promotion next season.
Whatever happens next season, I'll be there to watch it.

Good post Chris Garbutt!
The club need to announce who next seasons Head Coach will be
and start sorting the squad out ASAP!
Can’t afford to go into the close season non the wiser!

Being bluntly realistic but where is our funding coming from to
offer contracts.
No rfu cash so it’s down to gate receipts bar receipts and the
directors pockets.
Next season could be very tough but I totally agree Coach should
be in place soon and I would stick with Nick.

I've been wondering the same. He didn't do us any good from what
I can see

Last November 5th, he was placed on a pile of wood in
Westminster Square and off he went in a puff of smoke.
Apparently his smoke was seen by thousands of people, which is
more than can be said about him when he was in Rotherham.

You may have a bit of an insight Jim.
On the face of it he hasn’t done much for Rotherham Titans.
Really though only our Directors know what he has invested in
our club.
