Today was a mixed bag. We got 5 points and did at times have
periods of really good rugby. However this was mixed in with
really scrappy and at times very poor play
We could have had 4 more tries and let in 2 simple ones and
that would make a massive difference to the result. We should
have scored the breakaways at the very least. Luctonians were
wiley and disrupted and played the ref well. As Chris says when
we have a p̣r game but still get 5 that is a good sign

The positive must be we were never behind in the game. However,
we kept letting Luctonians back into a the match. In my opinion
the team made heavy work in a game we should have won easily. I
do feel that next weekend will be defining match of the season.
If we can win away at Stourbridge it will make us strong
contenders to win the league but the team will need to improve a
great deal on today’s showing

The result that surprised me the most today.
Blaydon won their 1st game of the season today at the 7th
attempt, who did they beat
Bournville 26 - 27 Blaydon

Yes , when I saw that I was very surprised. Stourbridge will be
interesting next week. They haven't lost but apart from Hull
they don't appear to have played teams that people think will be
in the mix at the end of the season. This is a hard league and
we have had a very tough start which we have fronted up to.
