Clubhouse

Was it just me or did anyone else notice the long queues for the
bar at the last home game? Fortunately it didn't affect me as I
got in the first round early doors but did notice the queue got
longer and longer. This was with a smaller crowd than we have
normally had over the past few seasons. Not sure why this was
happened as there seemed to be enough bar staff? Even at half
time, my mate normally heads for the bar 10 minutes before half
time to get a couple of pints for half time when the whistle
blows. I went to meet him at our normal half time meeting spot
and there was no sign of him. I went into the clubhouse to find
him still in the queue and managed to get his round 5 minutes
later. Did anyone think that there was a long delay for a round
of drinks? I still enjoyed the beer when I got it and the result
at the end of the game.

There is no reason why people need to queue, in my opinion.
Perhaps because there was a table in the way making it look as
if it was there as a marker.
I believe that the table will be moved for Saturday"s game and a
good old fashioned huddle at the bar will be in order.
Roll on Saturday!!

Yes a queue is slower that the normal 2 or 3 deep at the bar
with normal bar etiquette

Cannot se why a queue wold be any slower and I think during
these times its safer than a huddle at the bar.

there seems to be a bit of confusion at the moment. They seem to
have split the bar into 2 queues at the clubhouse ATM, the left
side (main bar) is serving hand pump ale plus all the others
while the right hand side bar which used to be for hot drinks
and food is serving pump drinks (Guinness, larger, johns etc) so
if you walk into clubhouse the right bar is normally empty and
you can get served straight away. They did announce this in the
bar previous home game but it went largely un-noticed due to the
noise. I don't know if this is now officially how its being
done but both the last 2 home matches we have queued up till we
got in the door then seen nobody at the right hand bar and moved
to get served straight away.

the bar staff would like a normal bar to serve. queuing just
takes longer for all to get served.
Go to the bar as normal and take you're turn the main bar or
smaller bar. Please
