Not that easy !
Most people not using cash these days so have to nip to an ATM
to draw paper money out, coins don’t come out of machines.
Would have been much easier to charge 10 and 15 pounds entry,
yes I know club would have lost some income !

Need to move with the times and have a mobile card machine on
the gate. Younger people do not deal in cash and the pandemic
has pushed this towards us oldies! Easy to do nowadays with
either wifi or connection to a phone.

I use a Card when I go SHOPPING, but always have a bit of cash
in my wallet to pay for just one or two small items. People know
they are going to a game in advance so surely they could get a
few pound coins in the days before Saturday.
The Club can't charge £10 and £15 or Non Members would be
paying the same as Members who have paid their annual membership
fee, therefore paying more for entrance to the ground.

Interestingly today’s concession for Seniors at Sedgley Park was
£6 for non members and £5 for members. Our entry appears to be
expensive in comparison

Ha ha Winger....this is the issue with some people. The majority
of under 40s will either SHOP by card or even do it online
😉.

What issue are you on about ?
Like I said I pay for most things I buy using my card but there
are thousands of people who, from Government statistics, don't
have a card.
You say that " the Majority of under 40's will either shop by
card or even do it on line ". What does the Minority of under
40's use to do their shopping.
My Wife and I occasionally like a meal from our local Chinese or
Indian takeaway, or from the Chippy at the bottom of our road,
NON of these accept Cards. Do we go hungry, no, I always have
a bit of money in my wallet. A sandwich shop about 5 mins
drive away doesn't accept cards, but it doesn't stop people
queuing for upto 15 mins to buy their Breakfast or Dinner
sandwiches.
November will soon be with us, I can't imagine many ' Penny for
the Guy ' kids or Poppy Sellers carrying Card Machines.
Cash has been with us for thousands of years, Debit cards since
1987. Cash will be with us for some considerable time yet.
To help the Ticket Sellers, Programme Sellers and 50/50 Ticket
Sellers, where's the hardship in having a bit of Change in your
pocket, if just for a Saturday Afternoon.

I’m not sure they should be taking cash on the gate and ramming
into bags and pockets ? These days have well gone and have been
responsible for all sorts of shenanigans in the past not least
at Milmoor! Having large quantities of cash about is in nobody’s
interest ?

I'm Sure you are NOT accusing our Ticket Sellers, our
Programme Sellers and our 50/50 Draw Sellers of being involved
in any Shenanigans, or indeed any form of dishonesty as they all
' Ram ' money into bags. Lots of, unpaid, people working at our
Club have to be trusted. I believe all they get is a Free
Lunch.
Other than paying at a Turnstile, how do you suggest people
should pay to enter the ground, and please don't mention Debit/
Credit cards. I don't know, but does anybody know of a Club, in
any Sport, where entry at the Gate is paid with a Card.
Regarding paying Cash at the Gate you say that "These days have
well gone". I've been to Rugby, Football and Cricket grounds
and payed Cash to get in and will probably do so for some years
to come. Other than if you have a Season Ticket, Complimentary
Ticket or a Ticket paid for prior to the Game, you will pay with
Good Old Money.
Anyway try and bring a bit of Change with you today, you know
it makes sense.
