Great start we totally dominated Wharfedale who only got into
our22 about 3 times our pack was amazing they won everyscrum &
maul we should have won by a lot more points but credit to
Wharfedale for some last ditch defending.

I thought they defended really well especially in the first
half. We were good. Perhaps not enough support for attacking
player. Often no one to offload to. We could have had several
more tries.
Fabulous to see rugby at the Lane again.
Has anyone any idea where Wharfedale stand in Nat 2 pecking
order?

Wonderful start to he season but certainly one or two areas to
work on. I thought that in the first half Wharftdale bossed the
breakdown and we gave away too many penalties. A much better
second half where we dominated the scrum. Full credit to
Whaftdale who stuck to it right to the end.Next week, Sedgley
Park away, will be a real test as I consider them to be one of
the stronger teams in this League

Yes enjoyed the game , good crowd, good conditions for running
rugby !
Turned over a lot of ball in the first half, dropped passes,
knock ons etc Wharfedale defended manfully but we should have
been at least twenty points up after 40 mins. Dale scored on the
only occasion they got in our 22 ?
Second half followed a similar pattern, won every line out,
scrum dominated on every occasion ! But kept turning ball over,
tries were disallowed for foot in touch, forward passes and a
problem with truck and trailer ?
We slowly improved second half with a bit more cohesion and
passed the ball a bit faster but still made plenty of basic
errors ?
Overall we were much better than Wharfedale and probably should
have been at least 20 points better, they only rarely got in our
half.
Full back was brilliant with ball in hand but did not quite have
enough pace or power to convert several good attacks !
Very, very encouraging start to the new season.

Yes, it was good to get back to the lane in such a fashion.
Much better than our last 2 autumnal visits to Wharfedale. Pie
was excellent too.
