Matt gave a long and good interview in the Rugby Paper. Part of
what he said was ---- "I've pretty much got my head around that
this will be my last season at Doncaster."
"I'm aware that age is against me but I want to continue playing
at a lower level, while furthering my career prospects in
Construction Project Management. I still feel that l can do a
job; I'm just trying to get that transition right between still
playing Rugby and getting into the real World."
He wants to carry on Playing Rugby 🏉 at a lower level,
that could be anywhere, even at the Titans, now that would be a
VERY GOOD signing. Maybe the Gods will smile on us.

Chall would be an amazing signing! Makes a lot of sense for both
him and us. Hopefully we can persuade him after his last season
with Donny!

I don't think Matt will take much persuading, he has been a
great player fir us at Donny, but still remembers his past
fondly

I would assume that as he's been at Doncaster for so long, his
Home and Business interests would be based fairly local,
certainly in, or around, the South Yorkshire area.
I would hope that he would want to stay locally and consider a
return to the Titans as his next Club. I'm sure that he knows
that he would receive a Warm and enthusiastic welcome. Another
" old head on shoulders player " like him would be a massive
bonus for us.
We know we can't assume that he will return to us, but we can
still have hope. Maybe his mate Mr Quigley could have a word
with him.
If he does return, then along with some of the other players
we've signed, we could form our own ' Dad's Army '. I think
Colin would make an excellent Mr Mainwaring.

Matt has signed for us and brought with him our ex Forwards
Coach Matt Smith, but just as a player.

If that's true its a great signing for us but I'm sure I saw
that he had signed for Donny for another season .
