Excellent post Chris, and well balanced. We still need to
tighten up on our first up tackling. To me, we gave the Pirates
their 2nd and 3rd try's by allowing them to run through 2 or 3
weak tackles. But overall our tackling has certainly improved.

Our Backs showed that they can score try's, with good forward
       momentum and excellent finishing.
This result will certainly add an extra edge to our next game at
       Richmond.
I've read on the Clubs Site that a young 24yrs old lad ( Ed
Robinson ) has been helping out with the Backs Coaching, for the
last two weeks. Does anyone know who he is, and where he's
come from. He seems to be doing a good job.
Read on Google, looks like he's the Junior Academy Coach at
Bristol, and the Son of Andy Robinson.
Says he had to retire from Rugby with a "Complex Concussion" ?

Told Toby after the match that he deserved Motm and he told me
he was not pretty enough. Well he got Moth and well deserved.
The lads deserved the win. Onwards and upwards.

Superb performance. I’ve got to say that I was absolutely in
line with the winning kick and I’m 95% sure it didn’t go over !

Very enjoyable game. Great performance by the lads.
We were in line with the kick too. Looked like it might go wide
of the right post, but definitely held and went through.
Too many good performances to mention all, but couldn't help
noting the number if times Toby Williams was hit, stopped and
then made a few more metres. Callan Ryan looked a more complete
player than I had previously reckoned. Ben Foley made an impact
       from the bench too.
Main thing was how they worked for each other. Not seen the
support at speed when we were attacking since the Lee Blackett
       days.
       Well done all.

Very good performance. Hope the first league win will boost
cofidence. Did anyone else notice that our yellow carded player
was off for more than fifteen minutes, possibly cost us one of
       their tries?

It was a thoroughly enjoyable game, and good value. I would have
been content with a draw, but I'm over the moon with the win!
Looking forward to the Bedford game on 17 February, let's
encourage spectators to return who may have decided recently not
to attend. The team deserve a bigger attendance at the next home
       game.

Well said Steveo ------------ Fully agree
A big crowd is not just better for the team to play in front of,
it's far better for each individual supporter to stand/sit in.
The atmosphere generated by the crowd, adds massively to any
sporting occasion. I, like many of you, have been at the Lane
in crowds of 200 / 300, and, no matter how loud we shout, we
know how low key the atmosphere is.
Against the Pirates we had a gate of 687, and what a difference
that made, compered to the 227 against Richmond. I always
stand in the Shed and at times it was electric. I know it it
helps when the Team is Winning, but non the less, it made for a
       great day.
Our three remaining Home games are against top sides, Bedford,
Bristol and Leeds. Wouldn't it be marvellous if we could
attract crowds nearing a Thousand. Win or lose these games, the
atmosphere would be brilliant, plus the money taken on the gate
       and in the Clubhouse.
This may well be a forlorn hope, but we can Dream.
