Donnyknightslad
Thanks for that post. The ex Donny players have given us a
massive boost this season. Their experience has given us a
cutting edge that we haven't had for some time.
Matt Challinor, Matt Smith and Colin Quigley have been
outstanding. Sadly, thro injury, Michael Hills has been missed,
but hopefully it won't be too long before he's back on the field
to add to our already powerful Pack. Lloyd Hayes is a Class
player, and we are so lucky to have him back, another
experienced presence in our Backs.
No one knows what will happen between now and the end of the
season, but the signing of the Donny Lads will help to give us
the best chance of a Promotion Season, than we've had for some
time.
All the best to Doncaster for the rest of the season.

Having had a look at the table now after everything has calmed
down since Saturday we seem to be artificially 1st in table as
Stourbridge are technically able to be on top with 23/24 points
if they had won vs Loughborough St which was postponed.
Bearing in mind we play these away next we seem to be getting a
raw or good deal with team selections for games depending on how
you like to look at it. We do get to play the weaker sides
(based on points) later and therefore on current form be able to
maintain winning performance.
That game vs Stourbridge will probably be the deal clencher to
top of table pre Christmas as there is only them and Hull we
haven't competed against yet in the top 6. We play Hull the
week after at home too ???
Luckily our last 5 fixtures of the season seem to be against
weaker (again based on current points) teams so it does look to
be stacked slightly in our favour for end of season games.
This could be a rollercoaster of a season all year long :o

Seven games undefeated. In what I thought would be the easiest
game of the season and the Lads would put on a great display of
running Rugby, I was disappointed.
Another Bonus point win is a great result, but our Lads
struggled in too much of the game. An excellent start to the
game with the opening Try, followed by another Push-Over.
But has the game went on Luctonians Forwards started to get on a
more even footing with ours. We started to allow them too much
space and too much Ball. In my opinion we made Luc's look far
better than they were. They scored 3 Tries which came from our
initial mistakes. Towards the end we had an 11 pts lead, but we
allowed them to battle their way down the field and I thought
that they had scored under the posts, down to a 4 pts lead and
we would have really had a heart thumping last few minutes. But
thankfully the Ref had seen an infringement and gave us a " Get
out of jail free card ". Two Lloyd Hayes successful Penalties
closed the game out for us.
I would suggest that Salvo was happy with the 5 points Win, but
disappointed with the Overall performance.
On to Stourbridge ( A ) next Saturday, where the Titans will,
to me, meet their strongest opposition so far this season. A
loss and we will say " It had to happen sometime ".
A Win and it will be a result to possibly make us think, This
Could Be Our Season. I know there's a long way to go but a
Win there would be massive.

Eight games undefeated. I'M REALLY PROUD OF OUR LADS
TODAY.
This was a game that could so easily have been our 1st defeat of
the season. Our Lads played well in patches of the game, but
overall I thought that Hull was the better team.
That was until the last quarter, our Lads woke up and started to
play some powerful Rugby. Although Hull never stopped battling
and kept coming back at us, our Lads got the upper hand and
although Hull could have had a couple of scores, our Lads showed
what is required in adversity, Determination and Heart. This
was a fantastic Victory and, to me, it was the BEST fight back
from the Jaws of Defeat that we've seen this season.
We did make some poor errors, in the first-half, a Line-Out on
their 5m line and we threw the ball straight to a Hull player,
camped on their line a couple of times and gave the ball up.
Same in the second half, camped on their line and lost the ball,
near their line the ball came out to the Backs, but a miss-out
pass was thrown into touch.
This is what I saw, your view might be different. We could get
away with these errors against Lesser Clubs, but against Clubs
like Hull these could be the difference between Winning and
Losing.
Having said this it was a game to keep the Heart pounding and
the last quarter was worth double the entrance fee. After the
game, on the field, I heard Salvo tell the lads how proud he was
of them for the effort they put in. In the huddle after the
game in was Smiling faces all round, it was good to see.
I repeat --------------- I'M REALLY PROUD OF THE LADS TODAY.

On November 13th we play Chester ( A ). This starts a run of 6
games in which I believe we have at least a 90% chance of
Winning all of them. We will have to show a bigger percentage
of consistency in all areas of our game to achieve this, but I
believe we can. We still have Michael Hills, Joe Carlisle,
Jamie Cooke, Matti Williams and Jack Bergmanas to return from
injury. We'll have to hope that we don't pick up too many
injuries when the ground starts to harden up.
After this run of games, for all Clubs, we will have a clearer
idea of how the League will pan out. The table should show us
three definitive sections, Top, Middle and Bottom.
I'm positive that we'll be in the Top section ready to battle
our way through the second half of the season. Looking at how
games have gone so far this season and how the Table stands, my
early prediction is, TOP 3.
Hopefully this prediction will change, for the better, has the
rest of the seasons results are unfurled.

Great assessment Winger. As others have said, we have yet to
reach our potential as a team and we are beating the top sides.
The lads know how to play their game but there is still a way to
go to consistently put in a full 80 minutes. Frightening
potential when you think about it. Hopefully the break has given
a few of our injured players the chance to recover and we can
hit the ground running starting with Chester. We have a great
squad here, top to bottom. Great strength in depth and players
who can perform in multiple positions. There is still a long way
to go and a big test in Stourbridge to come but I am very
confident our lads will keep improving and do us proud!
COME ON ROTH!

Less than a third of the season gone and a new chapter begins.
A change of Head Coach, with Steve leaving and Adam coming in.
Adam is an experienced Coach who will undoubtedly introduce some
of his own Ideas / Tactics into the training sessions and Match
Days. It's not easy to introduce new ideas to a settled squad,
particularly one that is undefeated, but bringing in Fresh Ideas
can help to Freshen up the squad.
We have an experienced squad and I'm sure that starting from the
Tynedale game, it will be business as usual.
I'm sure we ( supporters ) will give Adam a Warm Titans welcome.

We definitely need to pick up bonus points. I think they could
be very important at the end of the season and we are lagging
behind with them compared to the other teams in the top 6.
