England have announced their games for the Autumn
Internationals.
Nov 6 Tonga
Nov 13 Australia
Nov 20 South Africa
Should be 3 excellent fixtures

It's not that we lost to Sale, it's the huge points difference
that surprised me. I honestly thought that the game would have
been closer. Its not a good start to the new season but there's
a long way to go. Let's hope that it's a better result next
Saturday. 🙏

Have I missed something, who are we playing next Saturday, I
thought it was supposed to be Doncaster on Friday which has been
cancelled

That is correct Rucko, the other slightly worrying thing is
Leeds had to pull out of their pre season game this weekend due
to not being able to field a full team.
This means we might only get the 1 pre season game if Leeds
don't make it!
I agree Winger, i was surprised at the points gap. I did read on
the rolling maul forum that Sale FC couldn't field a full team
so the game had to have uncontested scrums which if true makes
things slightly more difficult to read. Hopefully it is just a
case of the lads not playing for 18 months and still getting
used to each other. However the last few seasons this has been
the case but this year if we truly want promotion, there is very
little to no room for error!
I believe we deserve to be a strong, top end Division 1 side and
I believe we can bounce back this year and that we will get
there. Hopefully the lads prove me right!!!

Let's all hope that the Lads have a better game against Leeds.
Against Sale we had some players missing, some left the field
with injuries, some playing out of position and 3 Scrum-halfs on
the field for part of the game. I'm not making excuses as the
Players on the field all did their best. Making excuses before,
or after a game, never alters a result.
We'll have to hope that the players carrying injuries are on the
mend and Steve will soon have a Full Squad to choose from. Pre
season games are what they are, chances to try out different
combinations and different tactics/ moves. It's good to win
pre-season games, they help to give confidence, but as long as
the players are fit and ready for Battle come Sept 4th, that's
what really matters.
As well as the players let's hope that WE are ready. Plenty of
breathing exercises to toughen up the Lungs and lots of Leg
exercising. I'm expecting all of us to be doing plenty of loud
shouting and jumping up and down. I've been practicing by
shouting at the Wife and jumping on the Cat. I've already got
two black eyes, sixteen stitches lots of bruises and thirty six
scratches on my legs, but it will be worth it as long has I'm
ready for the first League game.
So put in lots of practice and except the pain, you know it
will be worth it.

I was looking forwards to watching Englands 3 Autumn
Internationals. I've just read that they are being shown on
Amazon Prime. I won't be paying for that, so will have to
settle for watching the Highlights on Sky.
Amazon Prime are showing ALL the games played by England,
Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
I wonder what the Audience numbers will be has opposed to the
games being shown on Terrestrial TV or Sky / Virgin Media.

Winger, there are huge numbers of Amazon Prime subscribers
because you get free delivery on Prime purchases for around £6 a
month so they might be reasonable?

A week today and the season starts for real. Let's get the
biggest crowd possible and give the Lads a Rip Roaring welcome
back to the Lane. I've been in the Clubhouse most Saturdays
over the last two months and it's been lonely, so I'm really
looking forwards to our first game back at Home.
I'm making another call to Arms, let's have more supporters
joining the Forum. The more input we get from different people
the better.

Completely agree winger! The lads need us more than ever this
season! I am going to try my best to bring a few extra people. I
cant wait to hear the shed again
