Quote in the Sunday Times today
My Least Favourite Ground
Clifton Lane, Rotherham. The crowd were nasty and the pitch so
sandy that I ended up with an egg on my head, a black eye and a
massive graze on my knee. Obviously that all means I have still
got grudging respect for the place.....
Aah poor lad!!

I’ve not witnessed nastiness from Roth supporters. Healthy
barracking I’d call it.

The last time that Harry Williams could have played at Clifton
Lane was in Season 2014 / 15, when he was playing for Jersey.
He signed for Exeter the following season.
We beat Jersey away that season 32 - 29, and drew at home 20 -
20. I don't know how many times he played at the Lane, but I
can't imagine a single occasion when he could have come up with
the word NASTY, to describe our supporters.
We always had good comments posted on other Forums, by visiting
supporters, ( other than Leeds ) and indeed lots of them use to
say that their away trip to the Lane was the one they looked
forward too. Good Food, Good Beer and Excellent Banter with
the Friendly Supporters, were often comments posted after their
visit to the Lane.
He also commented on the amount of Sand on the pitch, which he
seemed to blame for him finishing the game with a Large Egg on
his Head, a Black Eye and a Large Scuff on his Knee.
