I suspect that we might be able to plan for a return to some
form of normality for next season?

If we end up in Tier 3 like before, then no chance of any access
to live games. Let’s hope the numbers are kind!

Is there any change then to the possibility of Rugby at Clifton.
I have been watching Gainsborough Trinity and I don't see why we
       can't play

Only trouble our directors have said there will be no rugby for
us until there is promotion or relegation so that rules rugby
       out until next season.

There was a nearly full page article in the Rugby Paper by
Plymouth Albions, Chris Bentley, calling on all Clubs below the
Championship to give their full backing and involvement in the
National Clubs Association's, National Cup Competition, due to
start in January. They are calling this a Season changing
       opportunity.
Who knows what will have changed by January. The Government
have said that after Christmas the Country will revert back to
the Tier 1, 2 or 3 system. What tier an area is placed in
will dictate how many spectators will be allowed into the
ground. Tier 1, Some, Tier 2, Not as many, Tier 3, Non.
How may Clubs could survive playing in this Competition, and
Having to Pay their Players, with very little money coming in.
I can't see many Sponsors rushing to put their money in. In
January any Club that is in Tier 1 might have a decent number of
supporters coming thro the gate and spending money in the
Clubhouse. They may be able to pay their players. In Tier 2,
Clubs will be allowed less people thro the gate to spend their
money, so might be able to pay some of their players their Full
money, or all of the players less money. In Tier 3, Clubs
will not be allowed any supporters thro the gate, so will not
be paying any players. How can this make it a Fair and Equal
       Competition to play in.
The RFU has declared that this season is OVER. As there has
been no Rugby played this season by Clubs below the Premiership,
how many players at ANY Club will have been payed. I would
suggest that the majority of players at the majority of Clubs
will have had their Contracts cancelled and Hung their Boots up
for the rest of this season.
Due to OUR supporters and Backers contributions on the Titans
Foundation Funding Page, some of our players will still be
working at the Club, they are the lucky ones.
As Keppeltitan has said, our Club have said that we will be
playing NO Rugby until the next League season starts. I agree
       with this.
Our Club will have to start recruiting players again for a new
season, I just hope that the majority of players will stay
loyal to us when negotiations for a re-start begin.
We had some very good players forming our squad and would hate
to lose any of them. Time will Tell

I would expect that a large number of the squad we recruited
will want to play as soon possible and will not want to wait
until a new season starts. If they can get match time at another
club, in any format, they will play and be involved. Once they
have got that opportunity they may well decide stay there rather
than return to us next season. The squad that had been assembled
looked very competitive in the league and certainly gave us a
strong challenge for promotion. Therefore I feel that if there
is a large uptake for the competition it would be a mistake for
the club not to part of it.

Which Clubs do you think that our players could possibly go to,
unless they go abroad to play. As I said above, nobody knows
whats going to happen come January, after the Christmas 5 day
relaxed period. With people given permission to travel all
over the Country, with upto 4 Family households being allowed
to get together under the same roof, whether from Tiers 1, 2 or
3, it sounds like a disaster could be on the horizon. How can
any Club retain a squad to play in a Daft competition when no
one knows if it will even take place. The majority of Clubs
below the Championship will not have held any Training /
Coaching sessions for Weeks / Months. If they have been
training, or will soon be called to start these sessions, they
will have to be Paid. How many Clubs can afford to pay out
Money when there's been non coming in. You can't have players
playing in this Competition if they are not match fit.
If there are any Clubs in Division's 1, 2 and 3 who are
planning to play in this Cup Competition, they will have already
retained the players they need and probably had to pay them a
retainer. If so that could prove to be dead money.
The Championship clubs are due to start playing League Games in
January, but will they ?, again an unknown. Does anyone know
if Championship clubs are in Training for a competition that is
due to start in 6 or 7 weeks. There's no time to play any
Friendly games, but then who could the play. I can't see many
clubs, unlike the Premiership, being able to pay for
continuous monitoring and testing of their players.
IF Rugby from the Championship down does take place, what will
it be like. I'm not sure what Rules the Championship will play
to, but in all other Divisions it has been decided that there
will be No Scrums, At the Line-Out the Ball must be caught and
passed out immediately, No Mauls will be allowed to formed.
There will be No Contesting for the Ball at the Breakdown.
Will this be RUGBY, not as we know it.
Even the Rugby League have banned their daft scrums, instead
they simply Back-Heel the Ball just like they do after every
       tackle.
Is it really worth starting to play again this season,
different people will have different thoughts on this. MINE IS
       NO.
