       banned for 5 games following his sending off, is that a fair and
       reasonable punishment?

       He immediately regretted making the tackle but it looked too me
       that he had time to get lower and make a legal tackle, it also
       looked like he had picked that tackle out so he should have hit
       lower. The ruling is making a strong statement against high
       tackles. I think it would be fair if all other high tackles like
       that are treated the same just the only issue is when you get a
       6 ft 8 lock tackling a 5 ft 9 winger who suddenly ducks etc,
       those sort of accidents happen pretty regularly and shouldn't be
       treat in the same way.
       On the whole I would agree with the ban but they need to be
       careful of genuine accidents.
