I've just read bolsovermans post again, I think you are right.
I read it that he was not wishing the Club well, but I now
believe that he is not wishing the leaving players well. His
words are in the wrong order. I apologise to him for my
misunderstanding of his post.

I wish all of the players well. these are tough times with tough
choices for people. Would he have a contract with us ? If so
when etc, I hope he is a success. Hopefully soon we shall start
to see some positive news about start up and players staying,
coming in.

It's all business I suppose. I was hopeful that we would retain
a large bulk of the squad but I can't see that happening if we
can't sign players now. The longer we wait, the more uncertain
the players will get and the more attractive other options will
be.
Hopefully I'm wrong but other clubs are signing players and
building their squads. Maybe we need to look into full year
contracts instead of just the playing season?

Can we not get players to sign contracts now that have an
effective start date n weeks before the start of next season
whenever that is announced?

I have it on good authority that Ben Robbins is going to
Richmond. I don't blame any players that decide to move on, why
shouldn't they. Richmond I imagine will look to get him a good
job in the city, and have probably offered to pay him a similar
amount to us, if not more. Then there's the small matter of
living in Rotherham Vs south west london. Perhaps we need to be
more targeted with our recruitment, target players who live
locally and are settled, I can't for the life of me understand
how Tom C, and Jack B have gone to our local rivals (sadly
Phoenix and Tigers are now rivals) when both would have starters
(in my opinion for what its worth) next year.

Thats good news. I would say a player isn't signed and coming to
us for sure until the contracts are signed on paper so we won't
know for certain until that point. Hopefully the government /
RFU can get something sorted quickly so we can solidify our
plans!!

Prop Reece Ward leaves Roth to sign for Wharfdale,(I think he
originally came from there) hope he has a better time with them
injury wise.
