       that means half backs and front and back row. Let’s just see

       I think that we have to agree that More Mature / Experienced
       players have been signed, in the three positions you mentioned.
       And with upto another 16 players to be named, I'm sure we'll
       have quite a few more to come.

       The Squad is building well for this season and the anticipation
       is there as to further players to be named.
       But when will they get onto the field of play. The RFU have
       said that we could start playing in October, then put that back
       to November and now its January.
       Maybe we should leave it until the beginning of March, when
       hopefully we could be playing, and have a full season ending at
       the end of October.
       Then from the Championship down through all other leagues,
       change the season permanently to run from the beginning of March
       to the end of October.
       Leave the Premiership to do as they please, as they do now,
       regarding their Domestic Season and the playing of International
       Games.
       I know a lot of people, maybe the vast majority, won't agree
       with this, but it might be good to stand watching games in far
       better weather. I'm sure that the Players would cope with it as
       the Rugby League players do. Less bad weather to stand around
       in and for the players to play in. I'm sure lots of supporters
       don't turn up when the Weather is really cold and wet. If this
       did happen we could be watching Rugby all year round.

       Winger14, I whole-heartedly agree with what you are saying, but,
       for Roth, there will be a big stumbling block, where would we
       play our home games?
       With the Cricket Club having first dibs from April through to
       September we will be struggling to play at CL. Would it be
       possible to use Herringthorpe, as we have done in the past?, or
       would we have to find another alternative? Answers on a postcard
       please........

       A new venue would be best in many ways - but where is a very big
       question.

       I like rugby as a winter sport. Wrap up well. Pie and a pint (
       or two) Bliss
       I’ve great memories of Murrayfield in the late fifties to early
       seventies watching great rugby whilst shivering!

       Rugby Union:total support £135m -
       Rugby Football Union: £44m;
       Premiership clubs: £59m;
       Championship clubs: £9m;
       Clubs below Championship: £23m
       Not quite sure that the balance here is correct. Surely clubs
       below Championship should get £103m and The RFU and Premiership
       should get £23m. Which should be divided between themselves.
       There are so many clubs below championship that need support.

       Looks like most of it will be in the form of loans which will
       need paying back. Not as generous as we had hoped?

       ROLL ON NEXT SEASON AND LETS HOPE FOR A FAR
