As expected Ealing beat Doncaster 38 - 15. Ealing have played
their last game and are still Top of the League. Saracens are in
2nd place 5pts behind. Saracens will gain a bonus point win in
their last game and will finish level with Ealing. If the
league is decided on results against each other, then Saracens
will finish on top. If its decided on pts difference, then
Saracens will be on top. In the play-off final saracens will
win. The interesting thing then will be, do Saracens get
promoted and the Prem runs with 13 Clubs, or will Ealing also
get promoted and they run with 14 Clubs.
The RFU and the PREM have talked about two Clubs being Promoted,
but that was probably just in case Ealing Won the Play-Off.
With Saracens winning will they decide 13 or 14 Clubs. I have
my opinion, what is yours.
I think that Doncaster will beat Nottingham at Home in their
last game and finish in 3rd place.

Our old scrum half, Alex Dolly, had a difficult penalty to win
the game against Bedford today. He nailed it. Always did have
#MagicBoots.
Going to be a great game at Doncaster next weekend with a lot of
Roth old boys on show. Got my ticket already!

In their final game of the season Doncaster beat Nottingham 29
- 24, to give them a seasons record of Won 8 Lost 2.
They finished 3rd in the league. Although it was a shortend
playing season this is still a commendable effort. Well done
to the Club.
The Saracens v Hartpury game was postponed as several of the
Hartpury players had tested Positive for Covid. The RFU are
meeting next week to decide when / If the game is to be played.
The RFU within a few days decided that this game would not be
played and it was declared a Draw.

1st Leg of Championship play-off Final -------------- Ealing 0
--- 60 Saracens. The only surprise in the game was when Farrel
missed a conversion kick.
The second leg is now a formality. Saracens will not play their
Lions but it will make no difference to the final outcome.
It is strongly suggested that the proposed moratorium on
Premiership promotion/relegation WILL be passed by THE RFU
Council when they meet later this month.
The proposal is that with no relegation this season, the Winner
of the Play-Off Final ( Saracens ) will be Promoted for the 2021
/ 2022 season making it a 13 Club competition.
At the end of that season there will be NO relegation again, but
another Championship Club will be Promoted to make it a 14 Club
competition.
From season 2023 / 2024 there will be a play-off between the
bottom Club in the Premiership and the topClub in the
Championship, and then this will continue.
This should have no effect on the Community game as Clubs from
the Championship down will be Demoted and Promoted as in
previous seasons.
Second leg to be shown live on BT Sports on Sunday 20th June.

So there is the difference between top of the champ and top of
the prem.
I hoped ealing could keep it tight and potentially steal a huge
under dogs victory but Saracens showed there quality and with
that scoreline you can't say anything but demolished Ealing.
Unlucky to Ealing. It was always a big ask but you can't argue
with a score like that.
What will happen with Ealing now? I can't see them being added
to the prem after that result

1st Test on Saturday and the selected XV are as good as could
be expected. I think that this is a strong team and will
hopefully give us a Winning start.
6 English
3 Welsh
3 Irish
3 Scots
Considering our performance In the 6 Nations, our English lads
must have impressed the selectors in the warm-up games.

Not a classic game, but what a fantastic result. The Lions
were down 3 - 12 at half-time, but what a comeback to win the
2nd half 19 - 5.
Some very good performances, but Itoje was outstanding. It took
a lot of strong tackling in the 1st half to keep SA from scoring
a Try. The second-half replacements certainly increased the
tempo.
I doubt anyone could predict the outcome of next week's game,
but it will be tight. The Lions have everything to Win and the
Africans everything to Lose, so it will be a good game to watch.
