After all the League games have been played, the Teams in 1st
and 2nd places will play off for Promotion. What odd do you
think you'll get on Saracens and Ealing playing in the Final.
Saracens will turn out a weaker squad in their remaining games,
other than against Ealing. They will then turn out their
strongest squad and the same again in the Final. The only
chance Ealing will have is if the RFU / Premiership decide to
promote both teams, they have talked about this for 2021 - 22.
If this happens the Championship will have an 11 Club season.
Ealing will be relegated at the end of the season and the RFU /
Premiership will have what they want, the 13 Shareholding Clubs
all together, their League will then be Ring-fenced. The
Championship will become all Semi - Pro. And the Fat Lady will
start singing.
Of course non of this might happen, its my opinion has I see
it.

That looks pretty likely winger! Though I do think Ealing have a
chance of beating Sarries. It is a bit of a now or never moment
for them, and with them being in good form that could motivate
something extraordinary. We will have to see!
I think the champ going semi pro will work in the favour of the
lower league clubs as they already have the semi pro
infrastructure in place. There could be a bit of movement in the
leagues over the next few years as the Champ sides settle in
semi pro life and other teams come through!?
Interesting times ahead

the Premiership this season. The have said that there will be
13 or 14 Clubs in the league next season.

the Premiership, taken care of. They've also talked about any
other Club wanting to join the Premiership having to pay a £20,
000,000 bond . Could Ealing afford to pay that. People at other
Clubs have voiced their disapproval at this, but their voices
will fall on Deaf Ears.

they could, if the Prem is not ring-fenced, be relegated at
the end of the season.

Never have to mention the word " Ringfencing" again. The bond
would ensure that whoever Won the Championship would not be able
to pay it. And that could be forever.
> If Ealing were to be promoted, what would be their chances of
surviving behond the first season. In the Championship their
Home Gates were luck to number Four figures.
> They may pick up a few more in the Premiership, but with the
number of Clubs in London, and outlying areas, it would be hard.
If they Lost the first 5 or 6 of their games then any extra
support that they had picked up, would soon drift away.

I posted this back in January, since then the RFU have dithered
as to what decision to make. Well it looks like they could have
made their minds up. If they decide to promote two Clubs who
will they be. Ealing WILL finish in the top 2 and Saracens will
probably also be there, BUT what if any other Club finishes in
the top two. Easy answer, no other
Club could afford promotion so will decline. It really has only
been Ealing and Saracens since the season started, so as it only
been a matter of giving players a few hours of Rugby because I
doubt any Club will have made a profit this season.
It will be interesting as to what will happen now over the next
4 / 5 seasons, whatever it is the RFU will make a Cock-Up of
it.

Doncaster have finally lost a game, to be expected,
Doncaster 15 - 50 Saracens.
If Ealing Win 3 of their remaining 4 games, with bonus points,
just losing to Saracens, they will end on 45pts.
If Saracens Win their remaining 5 games, with bonus points,
beating Ealing, they will end on 45pts.
Ealing would top the League if they lose to Saracens but stop
them getting a bonus point, or of course if they beat them.
Whatever happens they will play against each other in the
Play-Off. Just as what was expected before the League kicked
off.

Today
Ealing 69 - 7 Richmond
Notts 0 - 56 Saracens
If Doncaster get a bonus point Win at Home to Bedford tomorrow,
they will go back into 2nd Place ----------- Good luck to
them.
Their next game is Away against Ealing, What do you predict
for that game, I predict a big loss. Last game at Home to
Nottingham, they will definitely Win that one.
Ealing and Saracens will Win their remaining games and both
finish on 45 pts and finish as the Top two
My prediction, I think that Saracens will Win the Final
play-off, if they do then they will be Promoted, but if Ealing
Win, then both Clubs will be Promoted.
Another good Win today, Sunday. Doncaster 27 -
19 Bedford

Championship Final Play-Off games on TV.
1st Leg will be shown on Premier Sports ( Irish owned
Broadcaster )
2nd Leg will be shown on BT sports channel.
Both games should be well worth watching.

Doncaster's next game ( May 22 ) is away at Ealing, I don't
think they will get anything there.
Their last game of the season ( May 29 ) is at home to
Nottingham, if they get a bonus point Win that will guarantee
them finishings in 3rd place.
This has been a good season for them.
