Spanish Flu did not originate in Spain. The first reported case
was at a Military base in Kansas USA, on March 11th 1918.
Albert Gitchell, a Army Cook, was Hospitalised with a
temperature of 104. The medics thought it was just a bad case
of Flu, but it spread quickly thoughout the Camp, which was home
to 54,000 troops. Within a couple of Weeks 1,106 people had
caught the Virus and 38 had died, after developing Pnuemonia.
As US troops deployed en masse to Europe for the War effort,
they carried the virus with them. During April and May an
estimated Three-quarters of the French military and Half of the
British troops were infected.
Over the next 18 months, about 40% of the Global Population were
infected, and an estimate of between 30 to 50 million people
perished.
This comperes to the approx 17 million Soldiers and Civilians
killed during the whole of the First World War ( 4 yrs )
Wartime censors suppressed the news of the Flu to avoid
affecting moral, but Spain was a nuetral country so their media
was free to report on it, so by people who read these reports,
it was assumed that it started in Spain. The Spanish believed
that the virus was spread to them from France, so they called it
The French Flu.
In late Summer of 1918 a second, and worst, outbreak arrived in
America, carried by their Soldiers returning home from Europe.
The virus spread quickly and the population began to panic.
Lacking a Vaccine, or even knowing the cause of the original
outbreak, City Health Officials were at a loss has to what to
do, so they were left to improvise. Should the CLOSE ALL
Schools and BAN ALL public gatherings, should they require
EVERY citizen to wear a GAUZE FACE MASK, or SHUT DOWN all
Financial Centres.
Certain US cities fared far worse than others, and looking back
more than a Century later there's evidence that the earliest and
most well organised responses slowed down the spread of the
disease while cities that dragged their heels or let their guard
down, paid a heavier price. Those Soldiers 100 yrs ago would
have been given numerous innoculations before travling to
Europe, to prevent them from catching A, B, C, D or E. What
was in those injections, I bet they didn't know. What about our
Armed Forces of today, how many injected drugs do they recieve
before going abroad, especially to War Zones. I bet they don't
know. Maybe some of you ( ex Forces ) do know. Forces
personnel make excellent guinee pigs for trying out any new
drug, it's in their nature not to complain, having been told
that it's to prevent them from contacting A TO E.
How many have adverse affects from these drugs, some quite bad.
But again this will not be released unless some of them become
Phychotic and it's leaked out to the public.
Throughout the World Scientists are developing Deadly Virus's,
just so they can work on finding an antidote, just in case it's
needed. Now if one of those Virus's "Gets Out" before an
antidote is developed, do they announce it to the World, do they
*u*k. They all put their heads together and decide to blame it
on the Chickens or the Pigs or the Bats, or simply say "Who'd
have thought it, a completly new strain of Coronavirus has
appeared from nowhere, but don't worry, we'll sort it out
eventually, we may lose upto 5,000,000 people but thats just
collateral damage.
When a virus starts to develope in Nature, it takes years ( i've
read that), but it can be grown in a Lab in Day's or Weeks.
Scientists have still not discovered why the Spanish Flu strain
of Virus was so lethal. Will they be saying the same about
Covid 19 in a 100 yrs from now.
We, the general public, may never know where this Covid 19 virus
originated from. I'm still not convinced that it came from
infected Bats sold at a Wet Fish Market. The Chinese have
opened up their cities now, have they closed all of their Wet
Fish Markets ?, I wouldn'd put my House on it.
Two Facilities in the USA have been working with the one in
Wuhan for years, studying Virus's and Bacteria's. Trump hasn't
mentioned this, but has stated that America has proof that this
Virus HAS come out of the one in Wuhan.
