I must say I was disgusted with the officiating today. We won
the 15 a side game but 15 against 13 with a side of their
quality killed the game. I also saw 2 no arm shoulder tackles by
chinnor, one very severe and would have been a red card. Ref
missed from 10 metres away. Neck tackles on a couple of
occasions. The ref ruined the game for me as he killed it so
early on. I would like to hear opinions if it was justified. he
also allowed anything goes at times in the scrum. Seemed a real
youngster so perhaps lacking experience. All is not lost as
Moseley have tough times coming up. However it will be touch and
go. Moseley were always going to win today against Canterbury.

Yes. 21 points to them whilst we were down to 13. We’d defended
well prior to that. The ref certainly missed a lot. Kamikaze
       kicking persists.

agree regarding our kicking also. That costs us and kicking high
into a strong wind - not the best of ideas.

I personally think that if his decisions were correct to use
cards on our players there was a lack of consistency in his
refereeing. In my opinion he constantly missed their players
going beyond the break down and making no attempt to join it and
as a result obstructing our players. I Also thought he missed a
number of high tackles and deliberate knock ons by them. As a
spectator all I want to see is consistency from the officials.
To that end I felt that one of our tries came from a knock on
from one of our players. If the referee had missed the offences
then the touch judges should have been helping him. All three of
them are responsible for for decisions made on the pitch. There
did not appear to be a team working coherently together. Also I
thought that it was telling that in the third half their
chairman said that he was sitting in line to a pass that
resulted in one of their tries. He said that he thought it was
forward. I hope that the squad will learn that they have to keep
15 players on the pitch for the full game. The ref had certainly
spoken to Zac and said the next offence would result in a card
so we need to stay squeaky clean and avoid loosing players. The
ref certainly seemed to go to his pocket very early in the game
and was keen to make his mark. I am not sure if there is an
assessor at every match in this league but there was certainly
one watching today. Not sure what he made of the referee but I
would be very keen to know his views on what he saw.

The referee was indeed poor today, I’m sure we had him down at
Plymouth last season and he was poor that day too.
However, we were also terrible in the first half and that was
our undoing. I think even the most pessimistic of our fans have
to accept that we are now doomed to what I call non league
       rugby. It’s very sad.

I still think we have a chance because Moseley have some tough
ones in line. It means we have to win some tough ones but have
       home games.

I was disappointed with officials today.
Pen try and 2 cards were harsh.
       2 of their tries weren’t
       1 of ours wasn’t
High shots and shoulder chargers missed.
       Scrum pens ignored
       Offside optional
       Numerous blocking of our defenders.
Kirwin was constantly on wrong side of ruck preventing our clear
       out.
       I’m probably biased though.

Birmingham Moseley have some tough games for sure, but so have
we. With the fixtures remaining it’s very difficult to see how
they could relinquish a 13 point advantage. We are clutching at
straws. It’s over, this squad has not been near good enough.
In the bigger picture, the club has been in decline for a number
       of years.
When Doncaster dropped in to this league a few years ago, they
bounced straight back, albeit on the last day. The club talked
about promotion back to the Championship at the beginning of
last season and this season. However, they must have known that
in reality it was never likely. As I’ve said many times, it is
very sad that the once feared Rotherham Titans will be playing
what I would call ‘park rugby’ next season.
