We are now good enough to survive. They key issue is - will
there be enough time. We need to get a nose infront of Moseley
as they are great escape artists and often pull rabbits out of a
hat with their results. Looking at games left we can do it if
all goes to plan, If moseley pull off one or two unexpected wins
then that makes life very tough for us.

I made the 400 mile round trip to support the lads because I
still have faith in their ability to survive. The ref wasn’t on
our side not to mention the two blind touch judges but take
nothing away from DMP they are a good side,
We had spells of brilliance which had them pinned back into
their own 22 many times and I counted 11 phases of play before
the ref gave them yet another penalty. We really need to finish
off the moves more quickly because we seem to slow the ball down
just to much letting teams re-set . They only scored from our
poor mistakes again except the two decent ones I saw . The
photos with the video highlights don’t give the credit Roth
deserve the lads played their socks off and you must be blind
like the touch judges to see this was another week that this
team have improved . The last 10 minutes it was mentioned they
threw caution to the wind and scored twice with giving nothing
to DMP the bone crunching tackles came from all directions from
the Rotherham forwards and maybe next week they should say
🤬 it and play the whole game like it
Well done Lads keep going a 5 pointer is in sight

1st Half 2nd Half
Darlington 5 Tries 5 Cons 2Pens
24 17 41
Rotherham 5 Tries 1 Con
10 17 27
Five tries each shows that the team's were equally matched,
with just the kicking at goal making the big difference in the
scoreline.
I can't fault Sam, he's a very good goalkicker, who at this
game didn't achieve his usual kicking success rate.
Again this game shows that we are still improving. To score 5
Tries away from Home against a team with Darlingtons recent
Home record is a very good achievement. With 10 games to go
we must stay Possitive and believe that survival is within our
grasp.

"How come when our forwards battle to win the ball and dominate
scrums and mauls give the ball to the backs who promptly boot
down field to their very speedy backs who promptly run through
to score".
And so say all of us!

Winger14 when you put it like that, the result changes a lot. We
have a lot of work to do and I hope we have enough time to
survive. The new coaching team have definitely improved things,
I just wish we changed it up much earlier. Hopefully we can sign
Salvo on full time. He along with the other coaches seem to have
restored a bit of confidence and faith in the lads. Hard lines
yesterday but to score 5 at Darlo is good. We must win on
saturday to keep moving in the right direction.

Moseley are away to Canterbury on Saturday. Last week Canterbury
only lost by a point on the road at Cambridge so hopefully at
home they will be able to secure a victory against Moseley. We
just need to get a win to keep the pressure on them. Even better
if we win and score 4 tries.

Plus nearly all of Sam's kicks were out on the sideline, the
Darlo kicker had at least 3 in front of the posts that I could
have kicked....

Paul
I agree with you, kicks from out near the Wings on a big, wide
pitch, not easy. Sam will do better back at the Lane.

I’m a loyal supporter. I’ve missed very few home matches over
many years. It’s for me to motivate the team by buying a season
ticket and make motivational noises from the sidelines. However
I think it’s quite reasonable to criticise on a forum. One of
the first signs of madness is to keep make the same mistakes and
expect a different outcome.
