Would that mean more local players and a more consistent team
year on year?

Either hang on to this squad and go straight back up.
Or more local lads who stick with us.

With over a THIRD of the season ( 12 games ) left to play we
must be in with a chance of survival. Of course it won't be
easy, but then it hasn't been all season. As well has our
results we will have to hope that Moseley don't go on a winning
run, but they are just as likely to Win or Lose a game has we
are. KEV, if we only had 4 or 5 games left then I would say
that our survival was almost impossible, but has it stands we
have to keep the faith until it is mathematically certain that
we will go down. Has as been said in other Posts above,
Saturday's game could well be the Yardstick that measures our
survival chances.
If we lose that game then I MIGHT start to think that the end is
nighe, but even then I'll not give up hope.
For all we know, we might lose every game and the two teams
below us might go on Winning runs and leave us at the bottom,
but that wouldnt matter has we would be no worse off than we are
now, so has long as there's a chance to climb above Moseley then
we have to keep giving the squad our best support, and hope that
they can take that chance.
IF HOPE IS ALL WE HAVE, THEN HOPE IS THE CHANCE WE HAVE TO
LIVE FOR.
I'm not a Local Lad, but I'll stick with them. As I've said
before, my Bodies in Leeds but my Heart and soul is in
ROTHERHAM.

I am no stranger to this scenario having previously followed Nat
2 side Luctonians for many seasons. Many is the occasion when
they have been written off as definite for the drop only to have
a resurgence at a late stage and finish close to mid table in
the process of which taking 3 of the top 4 scalps en route.
What it took was a shift in emphasis with the coaching staff
such as we are experiencing now for that spark to ignite and the
team to respond to the positive vibe.
It is clear that the team is functioning better these last two
weekends and i am sure with consolidated coaching expertise and
continued positive support of followers they will turn this
season around.
Yes they need to turn promise into results but it isn't time to
call the grim reaper in just yet!
Come on Roth..............and all you doubting toms!

I don't know who you are, tho from your Forum name I could have
an educated guess.
Excellent post. You are right, the last two games have shown a
more Possitive and Aggressive attitude from the Players, is this
a coincidence or a reaction to the input from our New Coaching
set-up. New Coaches, and/or Players often give a fresh impetus
to a squad, let's hope that this is what's happening now.
Your last posts were on Sept 27 and Sept 28, please don't leave
it as long before your next one. People at the Club, including
Players , look at this Forum, If we want the Players to be more
Possitive then let us supporters lead by example.
Thanks again for your Possitive comments.

Never Boxy
I said earlier in season we are a firm ground team.
So with spring coming and the Blackett factor I’m hopeful.

I personally think that the alarm bells rang to late and
decisions should have been made much early on end of Oct perhaps
regarding coaching and tactics . Since the Sale game the squad
has settled and only 3 changes due to injury over the last two
games and you can see the difference between both games .
I’ve said before and I’ll say it again I think these lads can do
it and it’s not out of reach yet but they must stop switching
off when they get in front because that’s when they drift off
and relax so they must treat each half as 0-0 .
With the new coaching staff on board things have changed already
the players are starting to come together. The players want a
win and we want a win so let’s stay positive and give these lads
the support and keep cheering them on .
They don’t need the negativity from sulking supporters it’s them
that play on a Saturday with there bodies on the line and still
hurt on a Tuesday when they have to train again let’s get behind
this team there is light at the end of the tunnel .
On a positive note - Because players read this also well done
Sam Hollingsworth for bringing you kicking boots

No its not all over but we need three more wins than Moseley -
the only team we can realistically catch. This Saturday has to
be number one and I think Moseley have a tougher run in apart
from the last - Hull Ionians which they will win and we have
Rosslyn Park at home. I think we will be in a position to win
that by then. . So we want to be only at worst having to match
them in the last week. I still think we have a chance but
Saturday has to be a win.
