Can’t watch this anymore, drinking competitions between the
respective MOM’s when you’ve been beaten at home stinks of
unprofessionalism. The club needs to develop a winning mentality
where defeat, especially at home, is treated like a death in the
family. Respect the opposition for sure but in a way that
reflects the ethos of a club with a winning mentality.

Really, so that’s the definition of a proper rugby club? Well,
I’ve been to umpteen away games watching Rotherham and never
seen it anywhere else! Are we the only ‘proper’ rugby club
around? We need to concentrate on being a more successful rugby
club and arrest the alarming decline in our fortunes over the
last few years. A winning mentality around the entire club is
needed and fast! Watching this previously you can clearly see
some of the opposition MOM’s feeling uncomfortable as the
pantomime unfolds, it’s not necessary and in my opinion is not
the defining factor in what is a proper rugby club.

Edinburgh Titan.
I am the same as you I never seen it done at other clubs but
nobody is forced to do it and it's just a bit of fun .
I think it's nice to reconise the Motm for the supporters to
show their appreciation although most away games I have been to
other clubs don't seem to bother.with it.
We spoke to the Plymouth lad that did the pint challenge and
was quite happy to do it.

Appreciate the different views, but for me if I’ve just been
part of a team that’s been beaten at home, soundly beaten a few
times this season, I’d be too disappointed to even contemplate a
drinking competition. It’s about professionalism. As for the
Sheffield Tigers comparison, with respect to them, I think we
should be looking upwards in terms of professionalism and
behaviours of our club and the players who represent it.
