Titans looked like an upper tier side in the first half and
relegation fodder in the second half. They were good value for
the three score lead they built up. OEs scored an unconverted
try with the last play of the first half. On first play of the
second half Titans knocked on the kick off and the scrum was
followed by a seven pointer for the hosts cutting the Titans
lead to 3 points. That seemed to inspire the hosts and
demoralise the visitors. From missing no tackles in the first
half to missing multiple tackles in the second half Titans
looked like a different team. Perhaps fitness is an issue?

Good post Chris and honest questions. I would be less worried if
we were just missing out but at the moment we are getting well
beaten. at 18-3 today I was hopeful and thought we had maybe got
enough of a gap to hold off our second half decline. However the
second half was a cliff edge this week. Relegation is a serious
worry now as we are not competing. Canterbury havent won a game
so maybe next week we can pick up 5 when near neighbours have
tough games and get 0. This just might give us some
encouragement. Lets see.

Thanks Old Elthamian, that is what seems to be happening this
season.

Thanks for the insight Old Elthamian. Fitness does seem to be an
issue as does our scrum getting bossed, overthrown line outs and
our defence. There have been glimpses of serious quality at
times this season but overall we are pretty dire. Our squad
looked good at the start of the year and now we look nothing but
awful. Our league position speaks for itself really. The numbers
don't lie.
Im hoping a big 5 point victory next week can give us a lift but
we need a serious string of wins to catch up or we are done in
this league.

Am afraid to say Canterbury knocked off Cinderford today. Last
week Cinderford saw off OEs....

Looking at the table we are 12 adrift now. Next week Moseley are
at home to Richmond so would have to fancy Richmond. I would
have said Canterbury would be a 5 pointer for us but after today
thats not as certain with Canterbury beating Cinderford. If
things go to plan we could narrow to 7 pts. Cambridge are at
Hull Ionians but I fancy Cambridge for that one. The following
week Moseley have Rams, fancy Rams. Cambridge have Bishop -
fancy Cambridge and we have Sale.
Now with Moseley's two weeks and ours I would have said we had
the chance to narrow by 9 points. I think we will have to get 8
or 9 over the next two weeks to launch a post Christmas
recovery. However all of a sudden I am not that confident that
we will get 8 or 9.

If we dont win next week, where does a win come from. If we can
pick up 8 points over the next two games then it gives us a
chance. If we dont I fear we will be too far out of touch.
