Think he’s got other connections - London Scottish if you search
on social media.

Yes I wondered that he played really well and always looked
dangerous. There comes a point with a new young team when it is
hoped they can then compete effectively at the level they are
playing. We could do with a couple more wins before Christmas to
keep us in touch so that the team can then be settled enough for
the dog fight after Christmas.

Concerned that the crowds have dwindled. Yesterday was the
quietest I can remember in the clubhouse before the game.

Attendance ---- 483
I thought the Lads did well against a good team. We had some
good moves but couldn't penetrate a strong defence. We had two,
one in each half, sustained attacks on the Rams line but hadn't
got the strength to break through and get over the line.
Rams scored some very good tries, and with their quick hands and
speed of foot, they showed our lads how the game through the
Backs should be played.
Over the 80 mins I don't think we were out-fought, but we were
certainly out-thought. Some of our lads made decent breaks but
rarely was anyone on their shoulder for the off-load, where as
some of the Rams off-loads were outstanding through their
backing up of each other.
We are now one third of the way through our games and things
don't look good, but its far to early to be despondent. I don't
know when it will happen but a couple of wins can make all the
difference and give the Team a lift. Let's hope its sooner
rather than later that it happens.
We again don't seem to be able to pick up bonus points and
Bishop Stortford show just how important they are.

Missed the game though illness so cannot comment on the game but
i do not think we need to push the panic button just yet, I
think it may just be a confident issue. When we get our
attacking right we score tries. Only time will tell.
COME ON YOU ROTH!!!!!!!!!!!

Equally let's not have the previous seasons of waiting to get
better. Last week at Ionians and this week against Rams have not
been good weeks and we haven't played well at all. I am sure
there is more to come but we need a couple of wins to prevent
the pressure of narrowing a gap between 3rd from the base and
safety.

Interesting watching Stortford against Rams the referee was
Alexis Manley

Is this the same referee who did our fixture against Rams? Did
this give them an advantage

I think the squad being new / young etc are valid points but
this will be the case every season unless we start signing
players on 2 + year contracts and build a team. We haven't done
this since the Lee Blackett era and it really shows. I don't
think we will be relegated but it could be a long season unless
we start performing.
If we don't start signing and retaining a good number of players
it will be groundhog day for a long time!

Definitely the same referee. He was very one sided missing
forward passes high tackles and knock on. The assistants weren't
any use either I know we shouldn't have a go at officials but
we do need a level decision making process

The Referee for our game on Saturday was JOE JAMES. Picture
of him on Google.
