Well beaten today and particularly in the forwards. They were
well drilled in the pack. We have a bit of an easier period
coming up on paper. We rarely threatened and when we did made
mistakes. Lineout near their line we were saying 'don't go to
the back' but they did and well..,,. Hopefully we will secure
enough points to show that we will not be in the dog fight over
the next 5 weeks.

Mind you I had this as a 0 pointer so not too fussed really. We
are where we are and will climb a bit now I think.

Richmond are a good chunk better than anyone else we have seen
this season. Their front rows looked twice the size of ours.
And we couldn't win a line out until Jack came on.
Having said that, the difference was 2 tries both scored from
driving mauls. We couldn't stop them. But they didn't score an
open play try against us and that bodes well for other games in
the season.

That game felt like we were in the Championship again. Boring
rugby played by a very big pack in very wet conditions, Kick to
the corner and maul it over the try line. If I had to watch that
all season I would not go to many games.

I was stood near two of their coaches and over heard them
complementing our forwards as we was standing up to them and in
some cases pushing them back but their orders that I could hear
was to punt it down the field and to set up a driving maul which
was their theme for the game .
Regards to their pack yes their front 3 certainly had the upper
hand at the start which which got balanced when changes
happened.
Championship vs Nat 1 is a big gap and people said the game was
poor and maybe our lads didn’t play as well as last week but
Richmond had a stronger and bigger side which showed and was a
championship side but to only let them have two tries in the
whole game is good the penalty’s we gave away wasn’t think we
done well considering

Two tries - better. Fire some reason I thought they scored 3
tries. Makes sense now why they didn't go for the corner at 20
puts.
