Says we have won 26-24. I hope this is correct as it could be 4
very crucial points in a tough fortnight. With Chinnor away and
then Richmond at home I would have taken 4 points as a greater
outcome. Anything against Richmond now is a real bonus. (Hope
its correct)

What a game it was to watch all players gave 100% and definitely
played the 80 minutes + injury time . Surprisingly not many
changes today and look what happens

Last week Chinnor beat Cinderford.
This week we beat Chinnor AND CINDERFORD beat Richmond.
Next week we play Richmond at fortress Clifton Lane.
I am more optimistic about how we will get on than I was. I hope
we don’t suffer from a backlash performance from Richmond
getting beaten today. However, Stortford ran them close the
week before so fingers crossed for a good victory.

Awesome result and performance.
First half an hour, we looked like we might get overwhelmed.
Then 2 quick tries - I think Connor Field and Tom Bacon were
involved in both and it was all change. They scored the bonus
point try in first half injury time. As they were coming off,
someone on their sideline said, "Got the bonus point. Now we
just need the win."
The defence and game management in the second half was
excellent. To keep a team that is in the top 4 and scored 4
tries in the first half, to 0 points in the second was
excellent. We won the second half 8-0. Excellent kick to the
winger when we had penalty advantage. But they still only
needed a penalty to win it. We didn't give them a penalty in
kicking distance for the whole 40 minutes, and the 8 minutes of
injury time.
It was tense but we held out. Definitely worth the drive down
and back up. Well done all.
