Interesting to see if you are right. In previous years I have
       said the same and been
Proved wrong by the subsequent results. Hopefully this year my
mid table prediction will hold but we do need those mentioned
wins by Christmas to ease pressure on the winter part of the
       season.

Very close game, well contested. A draw would have been a fair
result, but but we could have won it with a slightly different
bounce on our kick and chase around 80 minutes.
We won the first 39 minutes of each half. They scored 2 tries a
conversion and a penalty, 15 out of 18 points, in the last
minute or extra time of each half. One difference at the end
       was that we looked as if we were trying to hang on to the draw;
       they wanted to win it.
Big difference was that Warren Seals and Callum Irvine both
looked very sharp. Callum danced through us for the last try.
Their results against the top teams in the league show that DMP
are a force this year and we were competitive until the last
       minute of each session.
Big turning point: our scrum was on top throughout. Then their
loosehead had his elbow on the ground in 3 scrums and the ref
penalised us! We didn't win another scrum.
Still have to say that it was a good performance from a young
team against a very decent side. Bodes well but we need to
start winning the close ones like we did last season.

Regarding the scrum:I was standing next to a DMP supporter who
said their front row had been badly affected by injuries in the
opening games of the season. The players who started there were
certainly not their first choice props. Apparently the
replacement prop who came on for the last quarter is dual
registered with Newcastle Falcons and has played in the
Premiership. Not quite sure why he didn’t start. I think he was
the reason our scrums didn’t win penalties towards the end. He
also said they had 10 players in their squad that are dual
registered with The Falcons. Not sure how many were on show
yesterday. I was also interested to see how close London
Scottish ran The Falcons yesterday not to mention Cornish
beating Ealing and how close the Leeds Bedford score was. Maybe
that’s a topic which needs to be discussed elsewhere.

It looks like another league where there isn't much between the
vast majority of clubs, so winning tight games and 4 try bonus
points will be key for anybody to avoid a relegation fight.
There are positives to be drawn, but we have work to do on both
fronts, we don't look to have a lot of tries in us.
At this stage I think we'll be in a relegation scrap, purely
because about 6 teams probably will. The saving grace will
hopefully be that Ionians and Canterbury look off the pace at
the moment, so it may be 6 battling to avoid 1 relegation spot.

I think that is a fair assessment Rich 13 based on the first 6
       games.

After the first 6 games last season we had Won 3 and Lost 3. We
are currently 5pts behind last season at this stage.
After the first 4 games last season we had Won 1 and Lost 3. We
then went on a run of 5 Wins. We then lost 2, followed by
another run of 5 Wins. At the end of 2018 we had Won 11 and
Lost 5. We were on a high wondering just how high we could
       finish.
In 2019 we Won 5 and Lost 9. What happened for such a turnround
to occur. We'll never know, but we did have quite a few worrying
moments wondering if we would be dragged into a relegation
battle, but things turned our OK. They will again.
We finished the season Winning 16 and Losing 14 ---- 717 pts
for and 705 pts against. It was near enough a 50/50 season
but we still finished in 6th place.
The reason I've done this is to show that ANYTHING can happen
over a full season. There's 24 games left to play, and we can
finish anywhere between 1st and 16th. So no despondency
nessessary at this stage. I still believe we'll finish in the
       top 6.

Some very fair points made by a lot. It is not a rose tinted
season so far but there will be brighter parts o am sure. It
would be nice for a few wins so we can be safe mid table.

Leading wth two minutes to go and we let them score twice.
Pretty poor. We’re supposed to be playing at quite a high level.
Good sides know how to wrap up a game.

That has happened three times now I think. The margins are small
and we are just the wrong side at the moment of the margin at
the moment. Two very tough games coming up and then maybe a
       chance to add points.
