Coaching and strategic errors do seem to be the reasons behind
the defeats rather than the players. Looks like coaches need to
get up to speed rapidly.

I wasn't at the game so can't make comment on why the on field
changes were made.
With only 5 subs allowed we only have 1 back amongst them, so
our backs interchanges are limited.
I ask, Why was Sam Hollingsworth moved to Full Back, was Sam
Allen injured and HAD to leave the field, if yes, then the
coaches made the right decision. Or did he come back on later.
Against Cambridge I noticed that one of Sam Allen's legs was
heavily strapped and in the second-half he was stretching it a
lot, I thought that his Hamstring was tightening. Was he fit to
start yesterday's game ?
Who would you suggest takes the 1 backs place on the bench, and
why ?
The Front -Row puts in a lot of hard work, but agree that they
should only be taken from the field if they are either injured
or are tiring.
If the 1st choice Props tire, then take them of for a rest, them
bring them back on again. Of course the problem with this is
that it would use up half of the interchanges allowed for the
full game, so leave them on the field for has long has possible.
Sad to read that our Line-Out was still not functioning, after 5
games we should be getting things right.
Onto next Saturday and hopefully a good performance, Darlington
are same as us, W2 L3 but have 3 more BP's more than us.
I expect us to get 5 Pts.

Just got back from my weekend in the midlands, a part of which
was a very enjoyable game at Billesley Common. Quite surprised
at some of the comments.
Yes, the lineout when we get close to the line is letting us
down. However, the one lineout we overthrew this week, we
'covered our arse' ( thanks Frosty Snr) and kept possession.
We were playing a top 3 team, the highest points scorers in the
league when the game started (but not now, after playing us).
They have played and beat already, other teams in the top 4. We
took them very close and were pushing for the win at the end;
the lads were clearly disappointed, despite a very good effort.
At half time we knew that an 8 point lead was probably not going
to be enough against a team that always comes good second half.
I still remember Jon Feeley's first half hat-trick there, and
going in with a 21 point lead and still losing it comfortably.
So, in the context, the result was a very good indicator for the
rest of the season. So well done the lads - bring on DMP.
I can see, from the tone of some of the comments, why the topic
may be locked.

On the props subs, I had been wondering, since we arrived in
this league, why we weren't using both sets of props in each
half given that you can bring people on and off and have 10
chances to sub with only 5 subs available; it just makes sense.
I would sub 2 on in the first half, leave them on through half
time for a 15 minute breather, then bring the first to back on
to finish.
Especially when none of the props we had on on Saturday seemed
to be struggling.

People should be allowed to comment on what has been an ok start
without side comments about locked accounts or tone. That is
unfair on a forum for open discussion
Or are we meant to just be positive no matter what. I think it
is right for people to be able to talk strategy and discuss our
position. We will finish winning as many as we lose. I am still
convinced of that and won't be in the dogfight. I also remember
102 -3 Moseley and about 68 something to us at their ground.
Them were' t days. Oops tone 😀👿

Re Morgan coming on. He came on to cover for an injury. It is
difficult when you only have 5 on the bench. You can't cover all
the backs positions. Morgan came on and some of his kicks were
very effective. At the end, he was playing at 9, not 10.

going to be tough this weekend. I have us winning by 3 points.
I had Moseley beating us by 9 but in the end it was 4 so we did
well.
