Philosophical. Fair result as the better team won on the day.
Match against one of the fancied teams showed our strengths and
also the areas for us to work upon. Gave too much space mainly
through poor first time tackling, lineout failed at crucial
times. Defence not quite up to Rosslyn standards. on this outing
though we will do OK again this year. Onwards and upwards.

A good and honest Post there Jim. I'm sure that Rosslyn Park
will not lose many, if any, games on their own pitch. With the
quality of players they have signed, and playing on their
artificial pitch surface they will be hard to beat.
An opening game loss is disappointing but nothing to worry
about. As usual we will have to wait until 5 or 6 rounds have
been played before we get any idea of how the season may pan
out.
Chinnor's Captain is Carl Kirwin, I think he's 1 of 7 new
players they have with Premiership experience. Another team who
will be hard to beat and should finish in the Top 3.
Anyway onto our first HOME game next week, and hopefully our
first Win. I'm of on Thursday for my Bi-annual Holiday to
Ibiza for 2 weeks but will be at the Lane for our second Home
game on the 28th. Hopefully 1, maybe 2 Wins under our belt
would be great to come home too. I will still keep upto date
with what's happening while away, there are still priorities to
consider wherever you are.

I think that we start seasons undercooked. If we had access to
our own facilities we could play several pre season matches. We
emphatically do not hit the ground running. A first game loss is
almost inevitable

Rosslyn are a good side but I still think it was small but
important margins that cost us. We were not outclassed and can
see us beating them in the return. This is a tough league with
tissue paper between a lot of teams.

I’m no expert but I personally was really pleased with the lads
and the way they played even though they was gutted about losing
a game that they could have won and certainly was in contention
to do so , Not bad start considering Rosslyn have some excellent
players are being tipped for champ rugby already but so do Roth
. Bring on sale next week on a proper surface

Yes - it was a good start and a few small but crucial things
made the difference. These made a big difference to the result.
Put those right, tackling, lineout (particularly to the back
which cost us) and defence and we will be a force. They will
come and I bet they are well sorted next week.

The Arenal Hotel, San Antonio Bay. Been going there twice a
year, May + Sept , for 11yrs.
The most expensive restaurant in the World is on Ibiza. It is
called Sublimotion, only 12 people are allowed in each night and
it costa each person £1950. For this they get 20 course's
across three hours and the "Eating Experience of a Lifetime".
The entry ticket is edible tasting of Chocolate and Lime.
The Restaurant is in the Hard Rock Hotel, it is the place to
stay if you are a Millionaire, Film Star, Pop Star, Top
Footballer etc. Unsurprisingly Me and the Wife haven't been
there, YET.
Worth googling to read what its like.

Having read the match report on the Clubs Site, it puts the
result into prospective. It states that Rosslyn's team
contained double figures of players with Premiership experience.
They also had ex England player Paul Dorian-Jones on the bench.
