       Not over yet!
       Richmond challenging the decisions now:
STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF RICHMOND FC
Richmond are disappointed with the decision of the RFU Board
that Yorkshire Carnegie can remain a Championship Club and will
be seeking a review of that decision.
Indeed, Richmond as an interested party have been in discussions
with the RFU since April and were subsequently invited to make
formal representations to the RFU board subcommittee considering
the position. These representations were extensive. Richmond
believe that Yorkshire Carnegie should be relegated from the
Championship and that Richmond (who have remained financially
solvent for many years) should be reinstated.
The reality is that Yorkshire Carnegie stand to suffer no
sanction whatsoever as any potential points deduction is to all
intents and purposes illusory. It arises only if a creditor
refuses to sign up to their CVA and all have signed up already.
Accordingly, it would appear that despite their dire financial
position and the cancellation of contracts of players drafted in
to rescue them from likely relegation, Yorkshire Carnegie remain
       a Championship Club.
Peter Moore, a director of Richmond said, “It cannot be in the
best long-term interests of the Game that Clubs can run up debts
of over £6m and cancel players’ contracts. We are very
disappointed with the RFU decision which we will ask to be
       reviewed.”.
Pursuant to that process, Richmond will be asking for full
transparency and in particular to see the recommendations
together with the written reasons that were made by the
       subcommittee to the RFU Board.
As Peter Moore goes on to say, “Despite our extensive
submissions all that we have seen is a brief RFU statement”.
Richmond intend to make the application for the RFU’s decision
to be reviewed early next week.

If Richmond's appeal were to be successful, what do Leeds do
then? Would they still get a freebie squad from Sale if they
are not playing in the Championship?

It appears according to posts on rolling maul Leeds are
recruiting players by raiding clubs in the Championship and
       Nat 1.
I would have thought that all the players would now be
contracted so to break contracts could leave them open to breach
       of contract litigation.

The RFU gave Leeds until July 31st to put forward a sustainable
plan to take them through this season, and to have in place a
Full Squad capable of playing in the Championship. Two days to
go and still no signings have been announced.
Although a CVA is a legal agreement, is it right for a Club to
run up Millions of Pounds of debt and only have to pay back a
nominal amount. If, has expected, there is no Relegation from
the Championship at the end of this season, then Leeds will have
Two full seasons and Two close seasons to try and turn the Club
       round.
I'm sure that if any major backers had been found, then it would
have been shouted from the Top of the new stand, but all we
hear is "silence". It's going to be an interesting couple of
days, and if Leeds haven't complied, will the RFU do a BREXIT
       and extend thier deadline date.
Whatever happens it's an absolute disgrace. I can understand
Leeds actions in all this, they are like a wounded animal that
is dying but won't except its fate, so keeps on fighting at all
costs until the inevitable happens. The RFU should have seen
this and put it out of it's misery.

I don’t feel sore for Leeds. There’s was a lousy product. I do
feel sorry for the supporters , remembering our anxiety when
       Mike Yarlett left.

Thread and a poll running on RM site that's very critical
(probably rightly so) of both Leeds RUFC management and the RFU.
This is mentioned on the Leeds Tykes forum where it is dismissed
as "B*llocks" and "RM never liked Leeds anyway".
Could just be me but this kinda sums up my experience of Leeds
       "fans" ....

They are so arrogant that was shown in the way they stilled
themselves as Yorkshire. I hope they drop the Yorkshire they
       don't represent our county
