It seems Leeds are to join forces with Sale Sharks next season
using Sharks players and back room staff also Sharks will be
playing some home games at Headingley.

I saw that on Twitter Kepple, so they're to become sale's
defacto second team?

So will they now be Yorkshire a Sharks. No other team would get
away with this. Are they being docked points ?

If an ordinary business or company did what Leeds did the
management and directors would surely have been charged with
fraud.
They will have a financial advantage over other championship
clubs as the will use Sale Sharks players hence no player or
staff wages.

At least it should mean they Leeds won’t be a threat to poaching
our squad. The only downside will be that when we were in the
championship Sale used to loan us players. This is unlikely to
happen again as they will now presumably play for Leeds.

Worth a read again on the Championship Forum, under LEEDS.
Doesn't look like they have any friends outside the confines of
Headingley Stadium, mind you, I don't think they've got many
inside.
I'm sure that however bad things look for them, the RFU will do
what they can to help them, the two of them seemed to be joined
at the hip.
The joining with Sale looks to me as just a means for Leeds to
keep going this season, in the hope that some miracle will
happen in the next 12 months. Unless they get some serious
Sponsorship coming in, then this season will just be delaying
the inevitable.
There's talk of Sale playing 'some' of their Home games at
Headingley this season, WHY. If its allowed by the Cricket /
RL set up, then how much would they have to pay. They would have
to Hire the ground. They would have to pay for Security and
Stewards. What sort of gates would they get (maybe more than
watches Leeds). They would have to pay for Bar and Catering
staff and would get nothing from the takings. They Would Lose
Money. This must be a non starter.
Richmond are still not happy with the current situation, so
there may be a few more twists and turn before the season
starts.
Richmond, and many other clubs, were up in arms when Hartpury
brought in 13 players from Premiership Clubs to help keep them
in the Championship, now it looks like Leeds are being allowed
to do the same. Something smells rotton, and a lot of the
smell is coming from the RFU.

This could be the death of independent championship teams, it
was muted a few years ago that the rfu and prem wanted to link
clubs, ie prem a teams in the championship

Has it been confirmed that there is no relegation from the
championship next season?.
According to the Rugby Players Association chairman Damien
Hopley, on September 13th a big decision will be made when the
RFU council will be asked to rubber stamp an agreement made by
the Professional Game Board to allow an increase in the
Premiership to 13 Clubs.

What's the meaning of a 28 points deduction if there's to be no
relegation next season?
