I suppose it had to happen, but still a bit of a surprise. Who
could we bring in now, that would make a big enough impact to
save our season. In today's game we played SOME good Rugby,
but once again we couldn't maintain the pace in the last 20
mins. Is this down to the Coaches or the Players. Every game's
       been like Groundhog day.
If we can bring someone in now to break that pattern, it will
be like a remake of that excellent film, "The Great Escape"
I think our only chance now is for Jesus to pop back down, slip
on a Titans Shirt, and perform a couple of his famous miracles.
If he can raise the dead, he'd still have a bit of a struggle
       raising us.

I think we need to be sensible and look for a coach to stabilise
       the club in National 1.
Any talk of a return to the second tier is a joke.
We need to rebuild the club with a core of coaching and playing
staff prepared to be around for several years not several games!
The biggest obstacle will be attracting a decent fan base.

Point 1 Agree Other than I believe we can
       return.
       Point 2 Agree
       Point 3 Agree

It’s only worth returning if we can compete financially with
       the rest of the league.
Just can’t see where that amount of money would come from.
How much will we lose next season from the RFU, £500K plus?
Then Theres the ‘lost’ revenue from season tickets, merchandise,
       player sponsorship and so on.
       It’s going to be tough!

It’s hard to admit considering our past but I have to agree.
When you actually compare us to other championship teams / top
end National 1 we don’t have nearly the same quality of
facilities and infrastructure. No offence intended to our
directors as they have done a magnificent job in saving us from
going bust after the prem and giving us some fantastic years
competing at tier 2. We have seen some amazing players at
Clifton Lane over the last 10 / 20 years many of which have gone
onto international level which is amazing for a small club like
       ours!
There was talk of Mike Umaga coming back, this is most likely a
rumour but if it were to happen I think him and Nic would be
perfect for stabilising us in national 1 and he would hopefully
bring in a few exciting islanders into the team and play a good
       brand of rugby.
I can’t see how we survive this year when we are something like
25 points away from safety. I think we got our ‘Get out of Jail
       free’ card last season.
With new investments and a proper plan one day we might make it
back like Coventry are looking to do but for now I think it Is
back to square one and rebuild for sustainable rugby.

It looks as if we will be relegated now as its difficult to see
where confidence boosting wins are coming from. but our desire
for championship rugby will depend on what happens to the
championship. It looks as if another promoted club i.e. London
Irish are coming straight back down. I can't see the RFU
avoiding ring fencing the premiership for much longer, although
it looks as if Bristol, given their investment and recruitment,
may buck this trend. But if the prem is ring fenced how will
this effect standards, recruitment, retention and the ambition of
       players in championship clubs.

Why would you pile money into the bottomless pit of professional
rugger if no prospect of reaching the premier league. ?

I think ring fenching will come but too late to save us.
Sadly, I also think it will be to the long term detriment of
       Rugby in general.
The old duffers at the RFU don’t see it unfortunately.
