LOST 17 - 24. We seemed to be penalised a lot again
today

I wish it was still 2018, we were doing really well.
2019 = Won 2 LOST 4, and Away again next Week, then
Ampthill at Home, things not getting any easier, but keep
battling away and it will get better.

Its the rearranged fixture against Chinnor next week, Then
Ampthill at home the week after. Two more trickery matches. It
is a real shame that two possibly three teams will be relegated
from this league. Thinking about our results, many of which have
been won at the death, I am glad we have got as many points as
we have and not in the relegation zone

Wasn't there so i cant comment on the performance. At least we
got the loosing bonus point. Plymouth is a very difficult place
to go and win. Tough couple games ahead of us. Might see out
league place drop a bit. I would say we are safe in this league
now. I can't see us getting promotion but as has been said
before, if we can retain a good amount of players and add in
some quality new signings then we will be highly competitive
next year.

Yep winger I agree. I had no idea. 2019 has been a tough year so
far and we have the hardest finish. I agree it is good that we
have got the points already. Any thoughts on what changed over
Christmas?

Maybe other teams have worked out what we are about with us not
contesting rucks and mauls, and the up and under for the wingers
to chase>

Then to Fool the other Teams we should try something really
Unconventional, we should contest for the Ball all over the
field, and spend as much time has possible running with the Ball
in Hand.
This should certainly fool the opposition, and probably the
supporters as well.
Seriously though, the Lads are doing their best in every game,
and don't forget they are playing against squads, particularly
those at the top, who have been together for a few seasons.
We do tend to put the ball in the air too much, I'm not bothered
if other Teams do it, this invariably gives the opposition a
chance to run back at us. Run with the ball, go to ground when
tackled, recycle the ball, run at the opposition, go to ground
etc.
To do this successfully, we have to cure another fault we have,
the amount of times we get penalised for holding on to the ball
on the ground.
Repeating what a number of posters have said ------- keep the
majority of this squad and well be in a good position for the
start of next season.
