Abysmal display

Not wishing to detract from some brilliant running rugby from
Loughborough that was a truly awful display from Rotherham.
Lost two matches in a row against the bottom clubs. Their backs
showed imagination and pace. Two attributes that at present the
titans lack. Why kick the ball to the best No 15 we’ve seen this
season and let him run us ragged.
So onwards but I worry not upwards.

Very poor they were giving away penalty after penalty in first
half. We should have put them away before half time.

Agreed, Malc. After half an hour, we were 10 -0 up and
destroying their scrum.

I am afraid to say that today’s performance demonstrated how
Loughborough have improved during the season and how we have
regressed. Our pack was totally dominant in this he first
quarter gaining a penalty try. This should have allowed us to
build a solid platform for a bonus point victory. However, we
appeared to take the foot off the pedal and offered little
afterwards. Going on at half time only 3 points up was not
acceptable. Put their backs with our pack, in the first quarter
and we would have a team that would dominate this league. I hope
that the season does not nosedive from now on. Last week and
this week should both have been matches the team should have
won. Heads up boys or it will be a struggle for the rest of the
season.

My apologies for butting in this stream but I seem to have
forgotten how to make a new post??
Noticed top try scorer in Scottish Premiership is no other than
Johnny Mathews of Boroughmuir with 18 tries. He is a hooker -
could it be the same chunky hooker that played occasionally for
us in Lee's era but couldn't quite make a full time 1st team
place due to one Tom Cruse? If it is, we could really do with
him at the moment.
