       SALE FC
   DIR By: Winger14

I read today that SALE FC have withdrawn from the NCA clubs
agreement that no club can have more than 6 DR / LOAN players in
their Match Day Squad. What does this mean ?. If they have
broken this agreement, should they be punished, or should they
be allowed to play has many DR / Loanee's as they want, and all
the rest of the NCA Clubs have to stick with 6.
I have not, as yet, read anything regarding the reason (s) why
they have made this decision. Unless they have approached all
other NCA Clubs and canvassed their opinion on this subject,
it seems a bit of a daft decision. If Sale ARE in breach of
this agreement, could they be punished with a points deduction,
       or Worse.
I dare say that we will hear shortly wether this report is true,
and if so, what the NCA have to say about it.

This is taken from a club announcement on Sale Sharks website,
       dated 28/8/18.
"Sale FC Rugby will benefit from the loan of senior and talented
young players on a wider level of availability. Sale Sharks, who
       have players gaining on-field
experience at several clubs, will be able to keep more players
at a higher matchday fitness level.
The ‘sharing’ of players will strengthen all teams and create a
development pathway which all parties believe will be ‘second to
       none’.
Furthermore, Sale FC Rugby will have access to the Sharks’
coaches, dietitians, kicking and scrum coaching expertise and
       rehabilitation staff."
Looks like the loan of senior talent on a wider level of
availability is about to kick off?

It's snowing here in Manchester at the moment but it doesn't
       look like it's settling.

Why didn't we go for a drop goal at the end??

Not sure why we didn’t go for the drop goal at the end.
I’m pretty sure we missed 12 points from the boot. 3 tries
       missed in the first half.
Too many mistakes, we kicked too away much ball, School boy
errors from Fly Half. All round poor performance. The game could
and should have been buried by half time but somehow we let them
       win.
I think that is us in this league for next season now. Probably
the best thing for our development. Let’s hope we can secure
some signatures for next year and build on this team we have.

Very poor I thought. We controlled most of the match and
       basically threw it away.

Very poor game. On the way out one of their long time fans said
to me how did we win that’. Well we made many many errors. Kept
kicking the ball high up in the air to them. This tactic wasn’t
working so we tried the obvious tactic of kicking it high up in
the air to them - one of which gave them their try. Missed too
many points from squandered tries. Missed too many points from
the boot with Dolly on the bench. Still struggling to find a fly
half. I suppose Joe is doing his best but he isn’t a fly half, I
guess we can’t recruit one. Callum looks as though he could be
one - he has the moves. So an error strewn game that we threw
away. I felt we should have had 30 points ish.
       Onwards to next week.
