I wasn’t there so cannot comment on the performance but it
sounds like they ran through our defence two or three times and
we had no answer to their maul.

And we seemed to give lots of penalties away again? Still
onwards and upwards.

I forgot that they played on a synthetic surface, this is
obviously a big advantage to them.

Not sure the pitch has anything to do with running in tries from
halfway.

I think it did, Supporter.
A lot of our players were suffering from cramp throughout the
second half - I think this has not happened before and was a
result of playing on an unaccustomed surface. One of their
tries from halfway was run in past Connor Dever who was lying on
his back unable to move, with his leg in the air trying to
stretch a cramp out.
It also made it easier to move the ball wide when we were short
of a winger for 10 minutes.
Into the second half, it was a 5 point lead and we looked like
coming back. I think the artificial surface, rightly or wrongly,
played a part in how they pulled away at the end.
