Could not make the game yesterday due to family commitments, but
great to hear that we won, what sounds to be a very close game.
Well done lads. Stay humble and I will be back in the shed with
the family come hell or high water.
COME ON YOU ROTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoy hoy... several points on pronunciation..
I go round visiting supporters for their version of a Players
names . Then as and when their manager enters their Team sheet
He also is asked . Then I approach the player(s) for their
authentic version.
Yes the light at a given time late in the game makes it a tad
difficult to read too.
Then the adage of my notes being somewhat sodden and smudged.
But the best way is how the player wants to be known as..” BIG
PHIL” in this case.
The same as BOLA and DPR wished to be known.
As you are aware , when you’re fingers are akin to Birdseye fish
fingers and trying to keep up with hectic comings and goings in
Baltic conditions errors may ensue.
A couple of matches ago a player with a difficult “ yabadabadoo”
name thought it was great.
Taking the Mick was not intended.

I hope we can get a head of steam up and advance up the league.
We have a really tough finish. Two away games against the
present top two.

It was a difficult game in poor conditions and finished in a
semi-light. However the passion, grit and commitment of the team
was fantastic right up to the final whistle. It was an exciting
encounter all the way through and I thoroughly enjoyed the game.

Yes supporter numbers are well down and it is hard to know what
to do to get them back. Mick really got the club going didn’t
he, perhaps a bring back Mick campaign might help. I went for a
cuppa at half time and looking at the Shed showed the scale of
the difference

Hi all,
Busy Sunday afternoon, eh?
On the props, I saw Will Dennis come on and thought he was
excellent, but didn't know whether Jesse had or not - it was
very dark.
When Martin announced the Blackheath sub, I assumed he had the
player's permission so did not feel upset; he has done the same
thing before, I recall. Do we remember the occasion, I think it
was at Exeter, when the announcer said that any more racial
abuse would result in ejection from the ground because someone
had encouraged Mike Umaga using his preferred nickname of
'Monkey'? The antipodean announcer at Ealing or Richmond is very
funny and works in a similar way. Is he your role model, Martin?
Did I see Michael Sylvester near the end of The Shed a couple of
games ago? I meant to go and speak, but he had gone at the end.
Still reflecting on what an excellent result it was. If we had
lost, Blackheath would be a lot of points ahead of us.

Michael was there on saturday - was talking to him. Great bloke
with great ideas for the club. Wish he was still with the
organisational side of things.
