Interestingly next week’s opponents Oundle beat Bury St. Edmunds
38-36 today.

Good game today against what looked like a good Nat 2 side. Old
Albanians were well drilled, fast and not lacking in size. They
were no push overs so I'd say a good result.
Our squad to me looked like maybe one third first team and two
thirds younger players / trialists, and they produced a
convincing victory. We played at pace and were dominant in every
area. I thought the 9 looked particularly sharp, the 10 was
solid and controlled the game, the 12 was pacey and looking to
attack at every opportunity and the 15 also impressed.
The pack were solid throughout and looked powerful. I thought
the new 8 looked very good and offered a slightly different
style to Callum and Ellis which will be useful as the season
moves on. We will need different looks for different teams
depending on what we come up against so he looks to be a great
option.
All the reserves added to the side and there was no drop in
quality which speaks to the squad the club have put together.
Very early days yet but I would say it was a very good start. We
looked a modern side.

Jackson has a good CV. And maybe 1st choice scrum half. Depends
on JBs legs.

Jackson looked brilliant as did the whole team. Great signings
and extremely good players!!
