Blackheath Plymouth London Scottish or Richmond

With us securing our place in the Championship next season I was
wondering what people’s thought s were on the other teams trying
to secure the final
Place. Blackheath have to play Plymouth with home advantage and
the winner of that match play either London Scottish or Richmond
away, to decide
the final team in the Championship. Blackheath might have a
slight advantage having home advantage but both sides have the
same record against us
I’m mighty relieved that we don’t have the playoffs to negotiate

I think Blackheath won both of the head-to-heads with Plymouth
this year?
Scottish possibly favourites - 5 wins clear of bottom club
Cambridge?

Interestingly London Scottish play Richmond in the penultimate
game on Saturday. I guess it doesn’t matter who wins or where
they finish because they both play on the same ground.
In terms of who will ultimately win, my two Penneth is as
follows:
If Blackheath have all their players fit then home advantage
should see them through. The doubt I have is that the run
they’ve been on has to end sometime and the first indication
came in the second half against Clifton. The game was clearly
won by half time so it is not clear whether their changes were
enforced or tactical. One player was red carded so Harding &
others were out of position and I believe they were down to 13
at one point.
Plymouth are absolutely no mugs and they are quite capable of
winning, even at Blackheath. Would be interesting to hear
comments from our lads in terms of what they think? Blackheath
have a great set piece but I do like the 9 / 10 axis of Oulton
and Jenkins, the latter I understand has now signed for Albion
for next season.
I don’t know how reliant Scottish are on Quins players, but
maybe they will edge Richmond.
Consequently I think that, at this time either Scottish or
Richmond would prevail in a one off home game against either
Plymouth or Blackheath. Not impossible but it is a big ask.
It’s nice to comment in the full knowledge that we are already
there, and I am pleased that the sixteen ton weight I have felt
over the last few weeks has been lifted and I will be able to
watch the games unfold without being directly involved. I do
understand that Clubber TV will be covering both the preliminary
and accession games.

2 May LONDON SCOTTISH V RICHMOND
9 MAY LONDON SCOTTISH V CALDY
CHINNOR V RICHMOND
At the present moment Richmond are 6 points ahead of London
Scottish with 158 points advantage

The good thing from a Titans perspective is that we can now
concentrate on finalising the squad for next season whilst the
others may have to wait to sign players?

That’s my point Rucko. They are both consigned to the play offs
and they both play at the same ground. So in terms of who gets
the home game, I suppose they are just playing for who gets the
home dressing room.

I have friends that live in Teddington and are avid Richmond
fans. I have watch Roth at Richmond a couple of times but also
tend to catch a Richmond game if we are visiting. I watched
Richmond vs Bedford afew weeks ago and the pace of the game is
definitely a step up from Nat 1. You really can't afford to slip
off a tackle, or you're toast. Richmond managed to get 4 tries
but bedford had put 52 points on them and yet Richmond seemed to
play really well. I think it will be tough for either Plymouth
or Club to beat either Scottish or Richmond (lthough Scottish
are suspect without their quins contingent). It makes for an
intersting finale that, as a Titans fan, I can sit back and
watch whilst chilling with a beer.

I am backing Blackheath for promotion. London Scottish have been
at that bottom end for a long time now and I think Blackheath
are the in form team with ambition to match. The Plymouth vs
Blackheath game will be a belter as with the play off between
the Nat 1 Winners and Champ side.
