The only people who could answer your question are the referee
and his 2 assistants

Fozzy seemed to be most unhappy at some of the decisions. I
watched the game on Clubber TV and some of the scrums they
literally cancelled each other out. It was a site to behold.
Whatever happened they were very worthy opponents and I thought
at the start of the season that our win there would prove to be
crucial. Both Plymouth & Blackheath lost there, and besides us
only Rosslyn Park won there when they started like a train (they
missed a conversion right at the end to win at the Lane)
The ref yesterday also reffed our games at both Rosslyn Park and
Tonbridge Juddians.
Still bouncing though and it’s likely to continue long into the
summer.

Thought there no 16 was the main culprit, dropping his shoulder
and boring in at side, especially 2nd half

They were very worthy opponents. That first game of the season
has proved crucial but we were so fast out of the blocks there
for game 1. It was a genuine question about the scrum penalties
as I wasn't a forward when I played and must confess I am not
always sure of the scrum decisions. It just seemed to me (when
the scrums were close to us) that we seemed to be penalised,
when their person seemed to be struggling and bring the scrum
down. so I was wondering if anyone could clarify for me the
reasons behind the decision making for scrum penalties.

Yes that game at home against Rosslyn was another nerve
shredder. I thought they would have been closer to pushing for
promotion after that game.
