With Nick, Martin and Harvey with us next season, that's
excellent News. Being in the Championship will invariably mean
that changes could be made, not only to the Players in the Squad
but to the Coaching Team and Back Room Team.
Now it's the usual wait for us to hear, over the coming Days and
Weeks, just who/what these changes will be.
I'd like to see the Backbone of our current Squad retained, but
I guess, whatever happens, that Duncan's typing finger will be
very busy again.

I saw that Harvey had committed on Linkedin this morning so it
is great to have that confirmation. He is proven in the Champ
and will be able to steer us, hopefully to survival and maybe
even better. It is a big step up so I suspect that we will see
some changes. It is also possible that some of our squad will
have caught the eye of other teams (like Ronnie with Richmond)
so we may lose a few naturally. But we will need depth, pace and
power to navigate the Champ and we have a fair bit of that at
our core. It will be intriguing to see how the next chapter
unfolds, but at least we have a great start!

I read a very short piece in the Roth Adverstiser that stated
Harvey has a board in his office that is " Rammed full of names"
in a recruitment drive that he began to plan months ago. This
includes names from university sides, Some Locals and some Champ
players and some foreign based players. This is to add to the
names I guess we hope to retain.

Me and my dad said to quite a few players after the Sale game
that we hope to see them again next season. Every player we
spoke to was positive and seemed as if they were going to be
back. Not naming any names as that isn't fair but it did lead us
to believe that we will retain a good bulk of this current
squad. With high quality additions we will be looking very
competitive next season.
I can't wait to see who we sign and retain.

16 players announced as leaving today so does that imply we'll

Sad to see the departing players but if it means those not on
the list will still be with us next season that would be
awesome.

The last season showed us that you need a deep, reliable and
quality squad to succeed at that level, more so in the Champ no
doubt. The squad not only has to provide players that can step
up to fill in for injured players but also be so close in
standard that they push eachother for places in every training
session. As the announcement on departing players was released,
it contains some players that didnt get a single match and some
that made the odd appearance and then the odd stalwart (Harry,
Xav, Luke and Sinjin) who we might have retained. All of those
players, as the announcement states, will have put heart and
soul into the squad effort, barring injury.
This probably gives some insight into where we might strengthen
the squad but with Harvey you never really know. Does anyone
knwo where the likes of Harry and Luke etc have gone to?
