Rams bolstered their squad and have a Bath academy flyer in the
mix (Ryan Carr). We need to be absolutely tip-top and certainly
not view their result against Plymouth as an indicator. We will
finish top if we win all 3 remaining games even if they are all
4 pointers. Sedgely away will be tough as they are fighting for
survival. They were ahead at half time against Blackheath and it
was close until a mad 20 minutes saw Blackheath score 4 or
possibly 5 tries in that period. I really see every game as a
potential banana skin. Sale have to play the top 3, with us
last, hopefully they will be tired and without hope for our
encounter as they have enjoyed a bit of a resurgence in the
latter half of the season. All tough matches ahead but we have a
very steady hand on the tiller, in Harvey.

I know that we have a number of players due to injuries but it
appears that Rams also have a number out

I thought that what lies ahead for the Club was that we would be
playing in the CHAMPIONSHIP, but NO, we will be playing in the
       CHAMP.
I don't know your thoughts but I don't like the Name Change.
With the RFU changing the Names of the Top two Leagues to THE
PREM and THE CHAMP they seem to be cutting not just the length
of the names, but the impact of the Titles aswell. Maybe just
my opinion but the PREM and CHAMP sound a bit Childish to me.
I wonder how many Sleepless Nights and Hours and Hours of
meetings they had to come up with these names.
I wonder how many other Sports that have Premierships and
Championships will be considering shortening their names.
Anyway there are other things that Lie Ahead that are more
important to us. The changes to the Layout of the Ground are
underway and wether we like it or not they are coming.
Personally I will except whatever changes the Club makes, the
Priority for me is watching the Team playing Rugby on the Pitch,
       whichever direction its facing.
We will now be looking forwards to see how much our Squad will
change over the coming weeks. Talking to Players after
Saturdays game, I am confident that we will retain a "Good
Number" of them. Also confident that King Harvey will be
       staying.
Of course nothing is True until confirmed by the Club.

It will be interesting to see what the changes to our Ground
will look like. The current capacity of Clifton Lane is 2500,
that's the minimum set for the Championship, so this will have
to be maintained. The minimum seating required is 500, so we
will have to more than double the number we currently have.
Obviously at least one new stand will have to be erected.
Floodlights will have to be re-positioned when the Pitch is
turned through 90%. I have every confidence that this work will
be carried out to a very good standard.
The one thing that we do have, and have had for many years, are
people who are highly Dedicated to the successful future of our
       Club.
We do know that our Squad will change, maybe dramatically, the
Championship is a Big Step Up so we will need to compliment the
Players who are retained with players of a high quality, maybe
we will utilise the availability of Duel registered Players from
the Premiership. In the Championship players will be on Higher
Salaries. Martin and Harvey will have been working for some
time now to build a Squad to compete well in the higher league.
All the above will cost a Lot of Money. We have a good number
of Backers and hopefully we can attract more now that we have
been Promoted. We should also have to accept that Supporters
Might have to pay more for Entry to the Ground, and for Food
       and Drink.
Currently Championship Clubs receive £160,000 a season, from
the RFU, I have read that now that the RFU have a New Backer
for the League this amount Might Rise. Knowing the RFU l won't
       hold my breath.
Ealing finished at the Top of the League Winning all 26 of their
games, so you would thank that they would be Champions, but
according to the National League Site the Top Six Clubs now have
to enter a Play-Off for the Title?. WHY, it seems a waste of
time when these Clubs should be sorting out their Squads for
       Next Season.
Again there will be NO Promotion to the Premiership. So the
only way to get out of the Championship is to be Relegated or,
       Heaven Forbid, go Bust.
Apparently the only current Club in the Championship who meet
the criteria for Promotion is, DONCASTER.
The meeting at the Club should give Supporters answers to what's
been achieved so for and WHAT LIES AHEAD.

Couldn't make the meeting on Friday so its good to find
information on here regarding the improvements to Clifton Lane.
It would be nice attend the first game and see much need
improvements in the facilities as this in itself could boost
       attendances.

I heard some time ago that the Players Changing Rooms were going
to be moved into the Building that used to be the Cricketers
       Pavilion. Has this been confirmed.
It's been said that Two New Standing Stands are to be erected on
the Hub side of the pitch, but was anything said about where the
New Seating will be, to bring us upto the number required by the
       Championship ( 500 ).

Martin Jenkinson said on Friday that there is a longer term
aspiration to move the changing rooms over to the old cricket
pavilion, but that is not in scope of the current works.
Initially, the extra seating will be in the current Shed, but
again there are plans, in the longer term, to put seating on the
side of the pitch. He didn’t commit to a timescale for that.
The cost of the Ground improvements are significant this summer,
and things, apart from what has to be done to comply, will be
       done incrementally.
Media facilities need to be factored in, flood lights moved due
       to the pitch moving.
