Fantastic result which rescued the rugby weekend from absolute
disaster. Looks like an inspired second half performance.
Birningham, Club, Plymouth, Rams, Sedge and Sale all to come.
Plymouth again picking up the BP, in a tight game. The next 3
fixtures will be very important in shaping the final table as
the top 3 will have played each other. a Maximum of 30 points
still to play for, Roth and Plym enjoying a 'perch' of 9&8 point
above club respectively and 15/14 points above Sales in 4th
respectively. Top 3 all get a crack at the Champ
(notwithstanding ground criteria). Shaping up to be a nail
biter.

Could really do with a 5 point win next week before playing 3rd
and 2nd. It's plymouth v blackheath next week so get the win and
at least we'll create a a bigger gap before the 2 massive games
we have in March

Roth essentially need 2 wins to guarantee finishing 3rd or above
(even if sale get straight 5 pointers and cut down a 173 point
deficit). The next 3 matches are so crucial for momentum and the
actual results. No team can let -up for a second. Intriguing,
compelling and nerve jangling. Whatever happens, this has been a
fantastic season in National 1 for Roth and the league as a
whole.

Real well done to the lads for yesterday, it sounded like they
had to overcome some adversity to get the 5 against a side that
pushed Plymouth hard at their place.
Big 5 against Birmingham Moseley next week to set up the most
important 2 weeks of the season. I do feel a lot more confident
after yesterday for the Away game at Blackheath.
Rest up lads and lets go for it.

Was Callum injured in the match or was he taken off as a
tactical replacement.
If he was injured how serious was it.

Moseley pushed Plymouth pretty hard as well; not going to be
easy on Saturday.

Moseley always prove to be a stern test. However, i have
confidence that we will bring home 5 and that will take us into
the two very interesting March fixtures.

Plymouth play club this weekend and I think that is a watershed
match. If Club beat Plymouth then we get a bit of breathing
space as Club are the away match for us that we are most likely
to lose. If Plymouth beat club with BP then pressure is on. Club
have had the odd wobble but have been imperious otherwise. It is
so tight! Any BPs are also vital (even if it is TB and LB).
Permutations are mindboggling.

From my prospective, Tonbridge matched Roth in the first half
and scored two tries while Roth were down to 13.
Add to that Jackson & Callum going off within 30 minutes and
going behind 21-12 it looked like it could be a difficult
afternoon. Not so though, Roth scored immediately before and
immediately after half time and then proceeded to blow them away
in the second half.
The real key this season is Roths strength in depth and
flexibility in positional play.
Among this squad the bench players are able to come on and slot
straight in to maintain structure.
It’s hard to single out players but what a find Jack Baldry is.
I notice The Rugby Paper named him the star man.
However, as Harvey says, it is all about the squad, not just the
15 on the pitch.
They all know exactly what they are doing and it is a joy to
behold.
The try that brought us back to just two behind, just before
half time was sublime. Lovely kick across to Isaac in the corner
who caught and put it down in one movement. This try built the
platform for the second half.
I know much is made about the opposition, but we only have to
worry about our performances and the results will take care of
themselves. Let the opposition worry about us. Respect them yes
but fear them….absolutely not.
Strap yourselves in and enjoy the ride because this is the best
team we have had in years.

Is there any update on Callum and Jackson? We have decent
strength in depth, but they are important players.
