I've no idea who was to blame for what decision was made
regarding this game.
How could the Club (Donks) know on THURSDAY that there was NO
WAY that the game would be on, on SATURDAY.
The Weather in Rotherham on Friday was Mild Rain, Low Wind
Speed and Temp 5 deg C Don't know if it was Freezing
Friday night / Saturday morning.
Clfton would have had to Travel about 175 miles taking about 3
hrs. The Referees decision to call the Game off should have
been made at 09:00 hrs at the Latest, not at 13:00 hrs. Do we
know if Clifton had set off or indeed at the Club. If we
were at Home to Leeds, the decision to call the Game off should
have been made at least 2 hrs before K/O.
We know that the Referee has the Final decision has to the
condition of the Pitch and wether it is Playable. If the
Players knew that the Game " could " be called off then did the
Ref simply turn up on Saturday to confirm a decision made
earlier ( Thursday ).
In principle it does sound unfair that supporters didn't know
that that Game was Called Off until 13:00 hrs. Some will have
travelled a Fair distance to get there.
Having said this, I hope that those of you that attended had as
good a time has possible.

We may have dodged a bullet in the sense that Harvey had stated
that the team only managed a single walk through session in the
run up to the game. It may be that we would have been
undercooked as Clifton would have had a full weeks training. So
maybe a little cold comfort for the fans that turned up, in
knowing that we will be fresher and better prepared for what
will be a very tough test at Bishop Storford. Other than that,
not ideal.

After checking for an update around mid-day, when we were
leaving home (had somewhere else to go on route), I must admit I
was a tad hacked off when we arrived and saw no coach outside
the ground, and then checked and found out that the game was
off. Thankfully for us, we only had a 20-minute drive back home;
I would have been seething if I had travelled some distance.

Those who had a 40 minute drive to get there for 8-00am and then
spent 5 hours trying to get the ground passed to play were
slightly upset as well but ha-ho lets not
bleat as tomorrows another day!
